Does anyone else like these guys?
I went to see them last night in concert. They were...fantastic. Really great, live.
Anyone else seen them live?

where'd you see them?
I saw them in manchester in May and contrary to all reviews, I really liked them live (but hadn't originally when I heard the album)

I saw them at the Glasgow SECC.

is that a big venue? Sorry I've never been
i really liked them anyway and thought they sounded fantastic live
are there any other plans in the making for 2005 tour?

Yeah, its a pretty big venue.
And wow. There was such a great atmosphere as well. I almost got crushed to death, nearly lost a shoe, and just about threw up over some poor guy next to me...but yeah. Brilliant.
I dont know what their planning for 2005. Though they will most definitely be doing T in the Park again. Im not sure about about a tour yet though.
Hopefully they'll release their new album, too, in the not too distant future as well.

LOL at you nearly losing a shoe
losing shoe at a show in the crowd, its one of those 'must do things before turning 30'
(and I'm over that age, and still trying to come home with shoe on each foot!)
good for you managing not to throw up! I like your style

Lol. No, see- I have these really cool shoes. Like, really thick soles. I was wearing them. They cost a fortune. I was just standing there going,' Oh no...not the shoe. Have a finger...an arm...just not the bloody shoe!'
However, I did come away with both...and all limbs still in tact. However, I wont be wearing those shoes again. I cant be worrying about where my feet are all the time.

Oh yeah- and my friend at a Muse concert. Lost her shoe, and the £10 she was keeping in it for 'safe keeping.'

I saw them in February at Rock City, Nottingham and they were great.

They revealed 3 new songs tonight on Lamacq Live, anyone else hear
them? Quite promising...

i guess the answer to the shoe dilemma is; boots, and lace ups at that.
that way you keep the shoe and the tenner!
bet your mate was dead peed off, shoe and money!
nice 'chatting'

I saw them at the Barras in October and they were amazing.

I know a few folk that saw them over the weekend at the SECC and the consensus was that it was missing something. Almost like they had made the leap to a massive venue like the SECC too soon. Plus the sound at the SECC is rubbish.

Ive heard of a few of their songs on the radio over the past year and a half.. bought the album yesterday. Great stuff. Its a pleasure to hear music so original and refreshing.

Their sound is really different and it is so easy to listen to. I can't wait for their second album to be released.

They didnt really 'interact' as well as I thought they might have done- but hey. I the end its all about the music.
However- I have to agree. The sound at the SECC can be pretty sh*t

When I saw them in February it was an NME Awards tour show. They played first, so when they'd finished they came out and stood in the audience to watch the other bands (Von Bondies, The Rapture & Funeral For A Friend) and chat to people, sign a few autographs, etc. I'd call that pretty good 'interaction' . They're decent guys too.

i'll be the first to say I don't like them in this thread. Infact I will go further and say they are the most overated band this year. Every single song sounds the same
