When they announce the judges....
Why do they not say Tulisa's surname, like they do for the other 3? How she now somehow become so important and well known that she can just use one name, (like Madonna for example) , or is her surname simply too much of a mouthful for the announcer to say?

Tulisa is a unique enough name to warrant no surname. How many other famous Tulisas do you know?

Is it simply that? Is that how her name would appear on her album? I must admit I don't know much about her. Although I had heard of her before X Factor I have never paid her or her music much attention.

Alesha Dixon is the only famous Alesha as far as I know but I think they still said her full name on BGT. Obviously she doesn't have to be distinguished from any other Tulisa, I just thought it sounded a bit incongruous compared to the other 3 names.

Tulisa doesn't even use it herself in her career because its a mouthful for the voice over guy or anyone so that's why you never hear it

It's said the same which is what matters. If you announced her as simply "Alesha", it wouldn't be clear who you meant. What if people expected Alicia Keys to turn up?

plus "alesha dixon" has a nice ring to it for a pop star whilst "tulisa + her surname" is just a...
