Saw this one in Tescos today and I gather its a middle aged man playing a old woman but any opinions or thought on this show.

Ive seen the odd clip on youtube and wondered if its worth getting.

I was forced to sit through an episode. My mates laughing away and asking why I wasn't laughing.

It is brilliant if you like that kind of thing. Mindless boredom if you don't!

I don't find it funny at all, but I'm more or less the only person on my Facebook who doesn't love it. Although, these are also people who find Celebrity Juice funny.

It's not one of those pleasant suburban Terry and June type sit-coms. I don't love it, but I like it.

No I just been out of touch with current comedy. For the past 10 years all I watch is Challenge Challenge Challenge on Sky. Noticed this series getting a few commercials in the ads and wondered about it.

I only realised a month ago just how funny The Inbetweeners was as never heard of it. Best DVD boxset I bought this year.

Is the Boys really that bad?

I just want a good current comedy that is funny.

It definately is marmite tv. You'll just have to look up clips or episodes online to see if you like it.

Me and my mates have generally the same comedy likes. Yet they love this and I thought it was awful.

I find it dated and predictable.

It's very popular though. Beyond me

No offense to you but the catchphrase "that's nice!:D" just about sums up the joke quality and depth here. That and how people adore how offensive and crude it is, like it's something to be admired and people who don't like it are just snobs.
I think it's dumb mindless panto with untalented cast and writing.

The best thing about it and perhaps why it's such a huge success is when they break character. Brilliant tv when that happens.

"Mrs Brown's boys" can only be described as "Father Ben"

I don't mean this in a patronising way but do you 'get it' re the "that's nice" joke? I mean, do you watch it know the meaning behind the joke? Again I don't mean that to sound patronising I'm genuinely interested, because if you do know the meaning behind the 'that's nice' comment you must watch the show?
And I don't think people that don't like it are snobs, you shouldn't assume everyone thinks the same. Each to their own.

Tbf, I don't think I've ever noticed it on TV listings, The only reason I'm aware of it is because I was surprised it tops so many DVD charts

No offence to you, but how many other comedy series peak at around 8,000,000 viewers?
