Your Favourite Christmas Single
A poll! Out of these choices, which is the top Christmas song for you? Only one vote each, and if your absolute favourite's not included just go for the one that's your favourite out of the ones I have put up!
Poll should be up shortly.. |

There should be an option for none of the above because there's quite a few others I prefer over the options listed in the poll.

I much prefer the real vintage Christmas songs from the forties and fifties - Bing, Nat, Frank, Elvis, etc. to the songs in that poll. |

I almost forgot to add White Christmas by Bing Crosby. But as I said in a similar thread I really like Jonah Lewie's Stop The Cavalry. I also like Prokofiev's Troika, but I suppose that's not a pop song so doesn't count in this thread. I also have a soft spot for The Darkness's Don't Let the Bell's End or whatever its proper title is. |

'None of the above' as I explained in the original post would defeat the object of people picking their favourite out of these Christmas songs. I picked these Christmas songs particularly because they could all be classed as a) more modern than the old Chistmas songs and b) because none of them are explicitly linked to Christmas THINGS as such, like Rudolph and Santa.
Band Aid I left off because there's been multiple versions of it and I thought it might get complicated. Feel free to make another one of your own favourites to see what people think as well sure

I think I would have to for 'All I want for Christmas' by Mariah, although I like 'Rockin Around the Christmas Tree' by Brenda Lee.

Saviours Day by Cliff Richard
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTI8CWSiZ40 ![]() Uplifting and has some religious significance unlike most of the depressing soul less crap that gets played this time of year. |

Any reason for that? I'm really not sure what you mean because most of your songs in the poll are traditional Christmas songs. I don't think people think a traditional Christmas song is simply about Santa and Rudolph. I suppose you could have included that version of Mad World with Gary Jules or several other X Factor winner singles. What's wrong with Stop the Cavalry if you're using that criteria? It initially wasn't written as a Christmas song, but just ended up becoming seen as one. |

Out of these I like Merry Christmas Everybody best. However, my all-time fave Christmas song could be Dana with It's Gonna Be a Cold Cold Christmas.

Rockin Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee is my all time favourite, but I voted Wizzard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - one I've grown up with my whole life
