![]() Yes, like that idea! I'd be making sure the killer branches got Bart, Teresa, Texas, Dodger and John Paul (ok he's not back yet, but he will be by then!) |

Instead of Myra, Cindy, Nancy and Tony, I'd add Will, Leanne, Sinead and Ruby as well as the other characters and they all die after the tree falls on them.

They don't even have to kill them all off. Just have some realising that living in HO means they have a big chance of dying young and if a Christmas tree can kill, then it's really time to move on!!!

I wish they would, after some of the SLs we've watched this yr we deserve it.
![]() Any excuse for a Silas return, Silas dresses up as Santa and he organises a Midnight Grotto event, and personally sends out invites to the characters we've listed stating they've won a prize. They come and basically its a trap to kill all them. (I know its not believable) |

This is in response to a question raised on the previous thread re charcters being seen to have their comeuppances. I think the big difference between characters like Silas, Brendan, Warren to Maddie, sinead and Ruby is relevance and association to real life. I would imagine (and hope) that not many viewers have day to day contact with gangsters, high level drug dealers and serial killers. They are pretty firmly rooted in fiction so can almost be viewed as pantomime villains and they do usually end up in prison or 6 feet under. Silas is an exception. However, sadly, a lot of the audience, especially children and teens will have experience, perhaps prently, of being bullied or knowing someone who is being bullied that they could perhaps help. I really think that these people who are probably feeling very lonely and perhaps desperate should be given some light at the end of the tunnel, not see tormentors get off. I appreciate maddie has in some ways paid with her life but her memory is being revered which is uncomfortable to watch. I'm 41 by the way but was bullied as a child and still very much remember how it felt.
