No doubt that Denise has been given equal opportunity in all the bad will going.

My post didn't imply that those on this forum are less then generous when it comes to gifts and donations to the less fortunate - indeed I find such a conclusion bewildering.

I simply pointed out to penelope that worrying that
pales into insignificance when compared to both domestic and worldwide deprivation and disaster.”

To be fair, all of the things we discuss in relation to SCD pale in comparison to extreme poverty and abuse of any kind.

Quite.

One might think that obsessive bitching about Denise would be put into context by poverty & abuse, but apparently this is not so.

Without trying to be mean, why would you think that? There's all kinds of unpleasantness going on in the world, light-hearted TV programs like Strictly wouldn't even get made if we took the darker side of humanity as seriously as we perhaps should.

Quite clearly the obsession of Denise with certain fans and the making of entertainment programmes takes priority over worldwide disaster and destruction.

You can try to be mean if you like, I couldn't care less...

I don't think that, my point was that if Ignazio is going to bring it up at all, if he's going to put worrying about feisty women on SCD in the context of poverty & abuse, why not put his dislike of Denise in that context too?

This context either applies to both or to neither. He can't have it both ways.

Perhaps it's precisely because of the darkness in life that SCD is so popular. Everyone forgets the shit for a while.

But all the obsessive bitching on here... it puts a downer on things & it's boring...

What is this weird mindset of 'fandom'? If someone complains about the relentless bitching on here, they must be a 'fan.'
I don't do fandom & the whole thing strikes me as quite barmy.

Can you not understand that some people watch this show because they like dancing not because they want to obsess over people they've never met?

I like Louis, Kimberley, Denise, Dani. I think Dani is the weakest dancer, & while I know it won't happen I'd like to see the first three in the final.

Out of them I care not who wins & I think it's all up for grabs.

You may find this hard to grasp, but that's how it is for me.

If you're so concerned about world poverty why not stop going on & on about what Denise said in 1994 & get out & help?

”

And there are those who take every criticism of their favourite as a personal insult.

Louis, Dani and Kimberley are my favourites and I have a preference for Louis if he doesn't lift that glitterball I'll still sleep at night.
It would be an injustice if Denise went out before Lisa - but I doubt if that will happen.
What did Denise say in 1994?
