Today I took delivery of a Cube U19T and it is useless. It cannot hold onto the wifi connection and so I can't downloads apps from Play Store or surf the net which was the whole point of it. There is supposed to be a firmware update available on the Cube site, but when you get to the download page, it's all in Chinese and whatever I click opens up all kinds of soft port/game sites but none seems to download the firmware. What can I do?

That's not good! How much did you pay for it? These Chinese tabs are very hit and miss. There always seems to be at least one major issue which ruins it.

I'm going to. Trouble is that whereas it only cost the Chinese store around £20 to ship it to the UK because they are an account holder (minimum of six shipments a year to get and account, so I can't get one), it will cost me around £54. Still, at least I did it through PayPal, so I should get the refund.
I did try to sort it out first, and they emailed back saying download the firmware update. I tried that but the website is completely in Chinese and whatever I clicked (trying them all to strike lucky to get the download), all I got was ads and soft porn.
But I take the view that items bought should WORK without having to pfaff around doing this, doing that. They claim they tested it before it was sent off, but I can't think they did because the lack of wifi is so bloody obvious. Also, would a store really test every item they send? Surely they, too, should have faith in the manufacturers they choose to deal with.

This is why if you are going to buy a cheap Tablet from China you need to have done you research first.
I'd expect that you could get it running by taking a look at some of the Android forums that specialise in this kind of tablet but unless you know what you are doing you are much better paying a bit more and getting a branded tablet from a manufactuer you know.
