Sky Go: is there any tablet other than an ipad that supports it?
I 'need' a tablet (not in the life or death sense, you understand), and as far as i can tell only ipads support it. Now, I'm not against getting an ipad, but in the interests of choice (and cost), are there any other tablets that Sky Go can be made to work on?

Does anyone know if BBC i-player works as well in the Nexus as in an ipad? If so, guess it's maybe time to start tracking down a Nexus!

So the Galaxy Note 2 is also getting it,hoping it will be a lot easier for the devs to configure it for the Galaxy tab 2 .

Do you have to have a Sky subscription already to be able to use SkyGo?

I have a Nexus 7, BBC updated all their Apps for android last week, big improvement in picture quality of BBC Iplayer. BBC say there'll be another big update in the new year. Sky GO was added last week, I've watched a couple of Movies on it and seems to work very well. ITV player is not compatible with the Nexus 7 yet, I emailed ITV who confirmed this and tell me they are working on an update but couldn't say when it will be released. I believe 4OD are due to release an Android app in the new year promises to be great. TV Catchup works a treat on the Nexus. No sign of Demand5 app for android so far. I have side loaded flash player you can use in with Firefox but it's really flaky, 4OD plays the adverts but won't play the programs, I've had similar trying to watch ITV player too.

Sky Go works a treat on my Galaxy Note 2, just wish they would update the iPhone version for my iPhone 5, as it doesnt taken advantage of the screen size.
And if we could get Lovefilm to sort out a streaming version for anything other than iPad and Kindle Fire then I will be happy

After extensive playing with both devices (including watching Sky Go and BBCiplayer functioning on both), I decided to plump for the i-Pad mini. Sky Go worked better in all respects compared to the Nexus, though this wasn't the sole reason for my decision. I'm a bit of a technophobe, and the mini just seems to 'work' without having to jump through any hoops. Just my wee opinion.
