11.99 though... can't justify 12 for a standard PS2 game. If it was a HD remake then yeah.

15euro no way in hell would i pay that if it was a HD update then maybe but no way it should be 8-9euro max i already bought this exact same verison in 04 which i still have just no ps2 to play it on

This is why i made a thread about backwards compat on all new consoles it should be standard

Games are becoming better with each gen you just have to look at all the HD redos and games on the store from last gen to see its not just a trowaway feature now imagine what will happen next gen to all the current games released on an online store again for more money its a disgrace

I did laugh back when people swallowed the whole "BC removed to lessen hardware cost, savings passed on to customer" argument. It was painfully obvious this was why they did it, even though many "knowledgeable" people said software PS2 emulation wouldn't be possible on PS3.

its on the store now and for 7.99

Edit: it says 7.99 on the main page but 11.99 on the add to cart page, something fishy is going on here

How did it take 4 years for Sony to bring out PS2 classics? You say Sony did the exact same thing with PS1 classics even though it retains BC to this day?

Also, San Andreas cost 40/$50 when it was new in 2004. Its almost a quarter of the price now and you're complaining now?

I feel sorry for those that their Wii or Wii U doesn't come with a slot for their NES, SNES or N64 cartridges.

Two seconds on ebay and i can pick the game up for about 3-4, so have asking for 12 is a little over the top

I agree, I'd advise people to NOT buy it at this price, I don't know what's gone on, but this price is way higher than it should be.

Too pricey just now, was hoping maybe closer to 6.99/7.99. I've just bought Vice City for my iPhone for 2.99 so that'll do instead

They had to wait a respectable period to avoid severe cashing in obviousness. PS2 gen is a lot fresher in people's consciousness than the previous one, some games are still being released on the platform even.

Uh no actually, I'm not.

I don't buy into the conspiracy theories about BC but I also don't buy PS2 games for 12.

I already have the original San Andreas (and I played it this evening). No need to waste money on buying it for PSN.

It's a shame they couldn't add online multiplayer features, now that would be worth buying.

My favourite GTA. Won't get it at that price though. Would be more likely to pay that on the vita though. The best of the ps2 remakes (different I know) is by far Okami, amazing then, stunning now.

Shame really if it was 9 I would buy today but not worth it as it's not a hd remake so I will wait till this game is on sale next year

I played it last night and did the first few missions but after being used to great graphics over the last few years it made my eyes sore, they should've made an effort with the graphics

There's no effort to be made, it's a straight up emulation of what is essentially a PS2 ROM.

It's not a terrible price but it will come down I'd imagine.

Considering they are charging 11.99 for the ME3 Omega add on it's not so bad!

Hows it control? Any lag at all or does it work well? Any bugs or that and though i know it's a lot older are the graphics decent? or does the picture look like an old game?

No bugs and doesn't lag but after being used to the latest gen graphics going back to this was a real eye sore and it really does look like an old game

Bought it, love it! Look's better than it did on my PS2, already had more fun in a 15 minute session than I've had with most modern games all year.

I must be insane as i've bought SA on every format possible (Just bought it today for the PS3 even if it a PS2 game) Couldn't let GTA3 sit there all alone Now hopefully someday the license problem for vice city can be sorted out

Maybe some enterprising hackers will crack the encryption of the san andreas ISO allowing any PS3 to play any PS2 game.
