Not a shock since the Oyster cards uses the same sort of system and changing the terminals to accept NFC credit/debit cards would not be a huge job.

No doubt some bank have got behind it because it is taking too long in their view for people to use NFC cards.

The oyster card is a good idea, well kind off, but it only works in big cities that have a good transport service. In my city, we got 2 different bus companies running different routes, if I wanted to say go to see my Dad by bus, I have to catch a bus from here into town and pay £1.50 and then catch another bus from town to my Dad and pay about £1.70 i think.
This is why I walk or cycle.
