Anybody else looking forward to Brett Anderson and BErnard Butler releasing music together again?

Can't believe I missed out of tickets for their Edinburgh concert.

Can't wait - hopefully it'll recapture the early Suede (i.e. when Suede were good) magic!!!

I've not heard anything by them yet though.

I'm looking forward to the renewed partnership of Anderson and Butler, as well. Some of their stuff for Suede (especially Dog Man Star) was breathtaking.

However, don't expect Suede Mark II. It's been reported that Anderson and Butler have been disappointed by some muted responses towards their new band, as punters have expected Suede reincarnated and apparently the music is notably different from what a Suede fan would might expect.

I'm a massive fan of Suede and can't wait to hear some new songs from Brett.

Indeed. I think I will be initially disappointed when I hear the new stuff (I, like hundreds of thousands of other fans will as you said be expecting Suede Mark II) - but I hope to get over that and take it (enjoy it?) as a seperate piece of work.

Some of their songs together are just incredible - virtually ALL albums 1 & 2 and the accompanying b-sides ('The Living Dead' in particular) are close to songwriting perfection for me.

Waiting with baited breath...

Anyone who can put High Rising as a B side just has to be a great songwriter.

The album is supposed to be out in March so maybe a single in February?
