I think Noah may have worked if they'd cast him at all better. I can't imagine anyone having been worse than Law, and it seems like being shamed off the show ended his acting career

And Doug/PJ's a bit an oddball to me in terms of what he's suited to. Stug shone as friends, but yeah, even if they'd handled Doug's turning better and told Stug as a couple less as tear-soaked fluff, it wouldn't have mattered. They make no sense together. And Doug's always been a bit drippy, but this storyline took it to unbearable levels.
