I thought he might quit tbh. He seems bored and not into it this season, I get the feeling the show wasn't quite what he expected.
I'd like to see someone like Usher or Bruno Mars replace him but who knows. Imagine if Louis got the job. ![]()

Looks like he is trying to save Epic Records. Probz trying to properly launch Ciara, JLO and Melanie Amaro |

I would imagine it needs to be a record exec not a pop star, but who knows? Simon may want to go with a famous name.
I admit I have watched next to nothing of X Factor USA. |

Yeah, but like XF UK, the US version is on its a*se at the moment - so I can't see why any stars who are currently at their peak, would want to be linked with a show that is not seen as successful. They may perform on it, to sell their own tracks, but judging is just too big an association with a failing show.

Not a massive loss and I can see why he has gone. The show isn't massive enough that it's worth him neglecting Epic where he has a pretty big job on his hands.

I want Demi to go as well - PLEASE SIMON! She's a lovely person and I really do like her, but this show has done nothing but convince me she doesn't have faintest idea what makes a recording artist and that she's nutty. It's just making me hate her and I don't want to hate her because she's actually really nice.
And replace Britney as well if possible, but she's a little bit more tolerable. It's the generic responses I get tired of hearing. She's improved a lot tho from her episode and I just think she needs to take a break and fully recover. I want see Katy Perry/Kelly Rowland/Beyonce/Tina Turner/Nicki or someone come on and judge, they would all be brilliant. As for a male counterpart, Buble would do nicely - but I would like him to go the UK version... |

This year I though LA was quite good, he wasnt about manipulating people and actually saying what he was thinking.Yeah he was a little predictable, but he was more honest than last 2011, when he was pretty useless.

Perhaps, despite their age being the obvious problem and obstacle, picking a 1D member as his replacement might deliver Simon the interest and ratings he's after.
Harry Styles/Niall? The former as he's the stand-out member but the latter is the most popular in the US. |

Anyone think this is another headache for Simon Cowell? Britney, as useless as she is meant to be, is the only one that I've heard keen to return and he has at least two UK judges places to fill as well.

If it's not LA Reid, then it's Rodney Jerkins. You can't get a bigger record exec than those 2.

Scooter Braun? Young executive sort (Justin Bieber's manager).
Watch how Shakira does during her stint on The Voice in January. If she's good, poach her for X Factor. She's gorgeous and has an accent - job done. She'll be far cheaper than Britney and is bound to be a lot better. Britney's salary must work out at about $100k per word. Plus, she looks a bit detached from everything and she's nowhere near as hot as she used to be. Simon, Shakira and Scooter would work for me. Maybe bring back Demi as well. I think she has shown some potential. In an ideal world they'd have gone for consistency but with L.A out and Britney's salary likely to be an issue, they're going to have to change it all again. Wonder if Mrs O might be in with a shot? Simon knows he'd be able to spar with her and she's already well known to the US audience. |

Britney is returning. Even the audition cities next year look hand-picked to suit her.

Demi is a very, very good judge and seem nice as a person but is awful as a mentor, like she has no clue.
