The end of another week- and as you can probably tell I just want Derek bumped off now! Hopefully, Gibberish Joey will soon follow suit.

Carol's Catch Up

What a week I have- all the EP seems to want me to do is babysit the kids. How come I don't get anything decent to do?!

So what have I missed?

Well...

1. Dirty Del knows Sharon's dirty secret
2. Ian and Denise's World war Three erupts around Walford- and the poor citizens are subjected to the delightful tunes of Liam and Morgan
3. Tyler is (unfortunately) still with us after hibernating these past few months
4. Jean is kidnapped by Crazy Cora in the laundrette
5. Tanya gets the all clear and Bianca gets all pally with Mr Lister
6. Last Duff Duff: Lola is angry that she still has limited access to Lexi

Well, this week hasn't been great, I slept through most of the Branning stuff. I hate how Ray and Denise are going to get jiggy- she and Ian should get together, their scenes are so natural. But imagine what would happen if EE actually listened to us! No, how stupid of me to even suggest it!

I feel for Lola, Danielle was brilliant yesterday. I do like all the Sharon/Lola interactions- I hope these continue.

Another day in BranningDom...

Sharon is annoyed with Jack for revealing her painkiller addiction to Derek, while Jack isn't talking to his brother after his interference. Feeling snubbed by Jack, Derek decides to take over the role of Max's best man and starts to organise the stag party. Soon afterwards, Derek turns up at Tanya and Max's house with Alice's measurements for a dress, as he wants her to be a bridesmaid at the wedding. A reluctant Tanya says that she'll try to make this happen, but she isn't pleased when Derek announces that he is now best man.

Later, Tanya vents her frustrations to Max, who is also annoyed to hear that Derek is trying to take over everything. However, Tanya wonders whether she has done the right thing as she doesn't want Derek to tell Max the truth over the car crash. When Max tracks down Derek, he complains about his latest antics. However, Max is ultimately forced to agree to his demands when a threatening Derek points out that a little gratitude wouldn't go amiss after everything he is doing for Max.


Meanwhile, Kat informs Alfie that she is heading out Christmas shopping, but Alfie fears that she is lying yet again when he finds that she has left her purse behind. Soon afterwards, Alfie finally manages to speak to Michael and begs to know whether he is aware of who Kat was having the affair with. However, Michael insists that he doesn't know and Alfie should stop torturing himself. When Kat finally arrives back, Alfie questions how she managed to buy anything without her purse. However, his fears prove unfounded when Kat explains that Roxy lent her some money.

Elsewhere, Abi visits the launderette to tell Cora the good news about Tanya's scan. Abi realises that a distracted Cora still has Ava on her mind, so she encourages her gran to confide in her. Cora then starts to open up, admitting that she does care for Ava but isn't expecting her to get back in touch. However, it appears that Cora was wrong when Ava makes a surprise arrival at the launderette and hands her a Christmas card.

'Not the face!!'

Oh Michael, one of the most interesting villains for some time (yes, I mean you Del!). If you ask me, if it wasn't for Charlie's break, Janichael would have been a very genuine love story (it seemed to start off as such) and he and Janine had so much chemistry. But, as most others in EE, a marriage isn't a marriage if you don't seperate the second you marry. Now, we see Michael all vulnerable which is well deserved- but I do like this new side to Michael and SJS is fantastic (I'm sure others would agree he's fantastic in other ways too!). This Michael/Roxy friendship is really good- a genuine intergender platonic relationship that most soaps seem to lack. I'm looking forward to Michael's reaction

The "Stall Wars" sounds so riveting, doesn't it? I can picture that storyline being on par with Den handing Angie her divorce papers .

As for the "Shagger"... couldn't care less either way. The reveal can't happen sooner though.

Unfortunately, it won't star Ian and Denise, if it did then it might be worth watching as IanMandy said. Instead, we'll be getting the EE legends: Tyler, Fatboy (though I don't mind him) and Mo.
