I'm so angry. Got tickets for the manchester date in June for a march show now found out the show has been delayed till November

One way ticket to lose fans? Not happy at all

Happens all the time, nothing to get upset about

If I had a ticket, it would be a minor annoyance, but it's only a few months. At least it hasn't been cancelled.

Happens all the time, plus she has given enough notice as the tour isn't for another 3 months.

If it annoying you that much, there is a simple solution. Don't go and get a refund

It happens all the time. It's most likely because her label pushed the album release date back. Will.I.am has had his latest album pushed back like four times within the passed year. Chris Brown had his pushed back, Rita Ora's is pushed back till next year in the US. Jessie can't really have a tour with no material to promote. That's the whole point. A lot of her fans are acting like she personally called the whole thing back. If this makes you not be a fan, then you clearly weren't one to begin with. Please explain how exactly a postponed tour is her fault?

She entered into a contract to play certain venues on certain dates. Tickets sold. She is now not honouring that agreement.

She's the headline artist on the ticket.

So I'm not entitled to be angry? I don't go to gigs and I don't get 'fangirl' over artists, Jessie J is my first arena tour I've been too and I was beyond excited. I adore her voice and had been looking foreward to it for months. Now im being told I have to wait an extra 6 months? Half a year?

I'm not saying its Jessies fault and I'm not saying I'm going to disown her as a fan, all I'm saying is I'm annoyed and I'm entitled to be

She still is, just the dates are different. What do you want her to do? Say screw the label, put her songs online instead, and continue on with the dates? She could do that, but she'd be sued out the ass by Universal. They aren't people you would want to be sued by.

Q: What do you want her to do?
A: Disappear, I think she's shit.

Pissing off your fanbase is not a wise move.

Artists taking liberties with fans in these desperate times deserve to fail.

As much as I'm not a fan, I can see both sides of the arguments. Luckily I haven't been put in that situation, but I'm also aware that the fans have to consider a lot of factors such as the date and whether they can attend.

Just under a year away also, a lot of circumstances change.

..But then I can also see the reasons why it is delayed and they've already be mentioned.

I'm annoyed because of all the money I've lost as a result of this postponement. People always say "Oh but you can get a refund on the ticket or transfer it to the new date (if you can make the new date, that is". Sure, but they're not going to refund the travel and accommodation costs, are they? I (and no doubt countless other fans) will be losing a lot of money on trains and hotels that cannot be refunded. We're not all made of money that we can just throw it away like this! I'm going to have to miss out on the tour now as I can't (and shouldn't have to) fork out all that money all over again. That's what's disgraceful about artists always changing their scheduled tours once everyone's already booked up for it!

that is going to be the issue for quite a lot of people surely? its no wonder why some of her fans are rightfully annoyed.

Well there is a full refund available if fans aren't happy about it.

If you fund Jessie J's dubious career, you deserve everything you get.

Great decision to make when your fanbase are made up mostly of fickle kids.

I have a friend who was taking her niece to a show. But the niece had already moved onto some other pop fad. So she's getting a refund since there is no way the kid will be interested next year.

If that wee girl was done with Jessie now, god knows how many fans will have moved on by next oct/nov.

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for her. She's crap, and annoying.

Why do people keep acting like this was her decision to make? Like she really sat there and thought, you know what, I don't feel like touring in February, let's move it. Clearly most people know nothing about Universal Republic. They push
back albums like it's going out of style. She can't go on tour
without an album. From talks it sounds like her album was complete a few weeks ago and is in the fine tuning process. Most likely she was at The Voice studio and got a call from the label saying, we are pushing the release date back and have moved the tour.

She still has songs, the album will still come out, she can still sing (sort of). I've been to see concerts where the act is playing material that wasn't due out for many months. It can be done.

Some performers would go out of their way to make sure the fans don't feel let down. Clearly Jessie J is not that type of artist.

yup, you're right, she hates her fans. that's why she books them hotels so they dont have to stay in the cold, gets them into sold out concerts and other things that arent in her job description. i swear, some people are just ungrateful. you will get the music when she can put it out. if you don't like her by then, well that's tough luck for her, but oh well. it will be out, and whether or not it sells the most, is really down to the quality at this point. (or lack there of considering the charts right now)

Well said! It saddens me that so many bands and artists lose fans at an alarming rate, or never get much success to begin with... then you get someone like Jessie J who treats her fans like crap!

And I don't care how many times people use the old 'you can get a refund' excuse, that's not going to help people who have booked accomodation and transport is it?

no they won't. do you know what the current interest rates are?

do you know how much it will cost to reschedule gigs, arrange alternate dates for venues, and re-advertise and make people aware of change of dates, deal with ticket returns for people who can't make it, etc?

and then the longer things are delayed, the more chance something else happens that causes cancellation or further delay

plus on top of that her career isn't going to be around long, so a delay of a few months reduces her chances of having another successful tour of the same scale

Perhaps she wants her fans to have heard the songs before she sings them. I've been to concerts where bands have played new material and they were shite.

It's already been confirmed that her label booked her for recording commitments that she can't get out of. That is the reason for the delay.
