For me Strictly is all about who you enjoy watching. Who you find exciting to watch is not always the technically best dancer. The person whom I have wanted to win every year has been one of the better dancers but I do get more pleasure out of watching people like Michael, Nancy and Gavin than watching those who are a bit 'bot' like or who don't quite get the spirit of Strictly.

I'm a Louis supporter but, if he saved ANYONE (including Denise) over Lisa I would not be happy. If he thinks not much will be said if Lisa is saved over Dani then it shows how out of touch he is with the SCD audience. In my office there are women with little girls who pretend to be Dani when she dances on SCD. They absolutely love her. Craig seems to have forgotten this is one of the few shows where people watch as a family. The "fun Lisa" disappeared at Wembley and was replaced by someone who at times sounds quite deluded.

Craig has definitely set himself up as the judge who replaced Alesha this series. The marks he gave for Louis's waltz and samba were ridiculous considering what he's been giving Lisa for doing dances with a lot less content. His unnecessary comment to Nicky wasn't funny it was downright cruel, yet Little Miss Sunshine doesn't get pulled up for missing out half her bliddy routine. Then to add insult to injury the part he said was the best Lisa admitted that she'd messed up big time.

I do like Craig but, this year I've stopped listening to him this year and find myself dismissing his comments as easily as I used to do with Alesha's. I now consider Bruno and Darcey to be the "honest" judges. Both of them tell the contestants why they like/dislike the performances and offer constructive criticism without being rude. I loved Bruno when he (and to be fair Len) told him not to listen to Craig as he was giving him bad advice (owtte). Although I agree with Craig that SCD is to a degree a popularity contest, but, we expect our judges to give honest ciriticims of the dances. Yes they can have favourites but, they should still score the dance and not the gurn.

It's a bit worrying as a Dani fan that Craig has already predicted that Dani will be going. Hopefully Dani can prove him wrong.

Very unprofessional of him.

Craig should NOT be making predictions like that, saying Dani is for the chop
He's supposed to be an impartial judge with a big say in who goes or stays .
Is he now going to fulfill his prediction and vote Dani off if she is in the dance off?

I've lost all respect for him this series.

It looks particularly bad given Lisa's inclusion in his tour. The whole things is one giant farce.

Yes.

The producers either tolerate or encourage him in this.

Where is the SCD ignore button?

As the other channels are just as bad thank heavens for youtube.

I think it's more ok for Craig to say these things in years when there is no dance off, then the ultimate decision lies with the public vote, but when the judges get a second bite, it's patently unfair to have favourites.

But then part of me thinks its to get Dani's fans voting in outrage.

You read my thoughts!

I've just said on another thread that I don't usually go in for multiple voting, but I may be tempted to this week

So, if he thinks Dani will be going, that means he intends to vote for Lisa to go through to the final even before he sees them dance !!

Her shouldn't be allowed to judge this week if he's already made his mind up.

Dance off would be Dani v Kimberley if the leaderboard from thre judges went like this

Who would go - probably Dani”

Or if they drop Louis down a place, its Dani V Lisa after the judges had already decided Dani was better. Craig can vote for Lisa, maybe even another judge and Len votes for Dani - Dani through.

I definitely will this week, whether it was deliberate or not. So much BS on the show that it's hard to decide what's genuine now.

Not necessarily. He may know that her public vote will lift her above bottom 2.

How depressing this is. If Lisa goes through, and Dani is in the dance off against any of the others, then that's her out through no fault of her own. She simply doesn't deserve it - so unfair to her and poor Vincent

I can't believe that Craig has allegedly said that! Predicting the result without even seeing Dani dance. She won't have a chance now.

Hm Hm, it's nothing to do with the fact Lisa is the 'star turn' on Craig's new show!!

I think a lot of people will start voting for the first time this week - the public voting order is by no means static.

This poll shows Lisa bottom of the public vote, but don't know how accurate it is.

She's really unpopular in here and has been for weeks but she still climbed above Denise to get out of bottom 2 and there seems to be lots if anecdotal evidence that she's popular "out there"

Sadly I think you're giving him too much credit if you don't think he really means it that these are his two favourites. Nothing in his comments or votes suggests he takes Dani seriously or would do anything to manufacture interest in her, or Kimberley or Louis.

I cheer myself up by thinking Louis, Dani and Kimberley are young, talented and lovely and have great futures ahead of them and Craig has a future of panto with Widdecome.

So Craig now says this is primarily a popularity contest? I can't quote chapter and verse but I'm pretty sure in other years he has loudly proclaimed that it's primarily a dance contest (Widdecombe and Sergeant) and how cross he was about the way the public were keeping them in.

This is also rather insulting to the great dancers who have won in other years: Ramprakash, Alesha (didn't like her as a judge but she was a worthy winner). Even Darren Gough and Chris Hollins made huge improvements to their dancing throughout the contest and became "real" dancers. Going through the winners in each year, I don't think there's has been much controversy, and by this stage in the competition the hopeless cases (dance-wise) had been voted out, and rightly so, given that they couldn't dance as well as other in the final.

I used to rate Craig as a judge, but this is so ridiculous. Lisa is so obviously not as good as any of the other four.

Sorry I just realised my first post was supporting Lisa and it's too late to edit!

And if Lisa was topping the public vote instead of Louis, it'll also be Dani v Kim

This poll had Nicky leading by loads for ages IIRC.

I know what you mean. The same thoughts crossed my mind last weekend but I didn't want to say so at the time because I didn't want to appear sour or to take too much away from Kimberley's fantastic performance. However, I think both girls danced & performed equally well but it had already been decided behind the scenes that it would be Kim's night. She's a big signing and I'm sure will pull in plenty of viewers should she make the final - whereas Dani is seen as more expendable.

I think when people say "out there" they mean non-online/non-passionate fans - the ones who watch at the weekend and then forget about the show until the following weekend. It's just a bit of light relief for them. But even so, I sense Lisa's fanbase is slowly dwindling. Even if she makes the final, I don't think she'll finish higher than 3rd.
