EE 4G Tablet Deals - Expensive!!
Just launched.....
"Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is available across three data plans. The 3GB costs £25.99 per month across two years, with a £249.99 upfront cost. The 5GB package costs £199.99 upfront and £30.99 per month. The 8GB costs £35.99 per month with a £99.99 one off fee. The Nexus 7 bundle comes with Huawei's E589 Mobile Wi-Fi device, giving consumers a personal 4G hotspot. The 3GB plan has a £49.99 upfront cost and £25.99 per month contract over two years. For the 5GB and 8GB plans, the one-off fee is £29.99 and the contract costs £30.99 and £35.99 respectively." http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/News/23...d_tablets.aspx Seems very expensive.....a lot better deals available with 3G data providers. |

Considering that you can buy the Note 10.1 brand new for £238, that's outrageous! Also £26 for 3GB?! Hahahaha

Or you could get it with O₂ ... oh wait you can't. oh wait there is no O₂ 4G to make a comparison with. Pretty stupid to complain about 4G being more expensive than 3G.
Plus isn't the 10.1 on EE as a network exclusive? ie Going to be more expensive to start with. Cannot see the 10.1 on any other network store. (CPw etc yes) |

jabbamk1 Yes it makes sense to take the Samsung offer.
However contracts are always more expensive overall than taking out a sim only plan & buying a sim free device. |

Yes but this is stupidly expensive. It actually works out cheaper to buy the Galaxy Tab and then buy a sim only from EE themselves. Usually the point of a contract is to make it cheaper.

what? since when was borrowing money cheaper? have you never heard of APR?
If that makes more sense. So the upfront cost is actually more than the device itself. Usually the upfront cost on a contract is cheaper (subsidised) down to say £99 from £250. I've confused everyone into thinking i meant the monthly price when i actully meant the upfront cost is higher than the actual unit cost. |

I think there is a bit of confusion the Note 10.1 goes for well over £300 in its smallest storage size..
This is what EE is selling. Samsung are doing an offer on the Tab 2 (10.1) as no one is buying it. Hence why this is cheap. |

Breaking news. Only network with 4G and an exclusive tablet is expensive shocker.

![]() And both of those will be prices for wi-fi only models, not a 3G model and certainly not an LTE model. The Note 10.1 is widely available for around £318, with the £50 cashback from Samsung available on top of that (provided you purchase before the end of the year). But that's still the wi-fi only model - you pay well over £100 extra for a 3G model and only EE have the LTE model. You can't really compare them directly IMO. |
