Maybe I am having a senior moment but is there a way to set a reminder on a BTvision black box?

No, there isn't, satsumo. And there are no plans to add one either. Personally I've never used this facility on any of my PVR's. I just record the content.

Thanks for setting my mind at rest Visionman, on every box I have ever had cheap or otherwise they all had the ability to do this and whilst mostly I have no complaints with Btvision, I do miss that facility.
