He/she is not exactly subtle .

I personally think that this could be one of the most interesting casts ever.

We have:

Vanessa Feltz, who has made it clear that she wants to learn a skill and will most likely refuse to be purely a joke.
Natalie Gumede, a very current and talented actress.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor, very different from the usual 'pop stars' they select.

And that's just for starters!

... and Martina Hingis, who got voted off first. So much for A-list celebs - the GBP voted in their droves for Lynda Bellingham instead.

Waiting for the first moan about the 'dreadful' Strictly line-up is as much fun as spotting the first Christmas cards for sale in the shops... and about as predictable. I don't care how famous they are, just so long as they can dance or at least try to learn to do so. I'd never heard of Kara Tointon before she appeared on Strictly; she was hardly an A-list celeb - just one of those soap stars that everybody moans about - and yet she remains my favourite champion. Go figure.

I quite like the line up so far.
I've said it a couple of times, why the moaning about Rebecca Adlington not being on. Don't think she would have lasted that long. Someone like Mo Farrah or Sir Chris Hoy would get though on being a national treasure alone, but that calibre would be hard to get.

The Olympian I think would be the most fun to watch is Nicola Adams- maybe next year!

The diversity in the rumoured cast is good this year- foodies, fashion designers, models, golfers and entrepreneurs! Should make for a more even year

I've seen the leak!

But then again, I seem to find a lot of stuff growing in my vegetable patch. (sorry for that...)

Those thighs, in dance trousers?

Poor costume department.

If you keep wishing for A-listers, you're always going to be disappointed.

Don't know if this has already been mentioned but Susanna has recently started following Joan Collins. Terry will have a heart attack!

One persons A lister is another persons worst nightmare. It's horses for courses every year

I think we might have to wait until The One show for the full line up.

I really hope Joan is the surprise I think she would be fabulous in every way.

Joan would be fun, I'd love to see Terry's reaction

Terry would drop Vanessa faster than a bag of cold sick if Joan signed up!

She was packing on Friday and arrived in London yesterday. If she can advertise a chocolate bar she's never heard of, I'm sure she can commit a month or three to ballroom dancing.

Even though she was in St Tropez, she's probably enough of a "diva" to pick and choose when she turns up. Bruce's toupee would be steaming in admiration if she was to take part (I still haven't quite ruled out Terry'n'Bruce being the same person)

If Fiona isn't doing it - and she's the only person from the alleged female lineup I think is in question, although we've got nothing concrete on Sophie - then I have a suspicion that the eighth female celeb will actually be the youngest.

I'm actually pretty sure Joan will do Strictly one day but she only seems to have arrived back from a holiday abroad yesterday.

I don't think I could handle the excitement of Vanessa, Fiona and Joan all being named for this series of Strictly, then the stress of hoping and praying for them all to dodge the obvious handicap when the pairings are announced.

That may be an old chestnut but it was still amusing.
