Americans LOVE that sort of thing. They think all Brits speak like either Len or Prince Charles and they can't get enough of it.

Prince Charles yes, but please not Len.

I wasn't in the slighest bit offended by it. I don't get offended by much.

But I do think Len is the worst judge and they may want to look at putting him out to pasture. This whole Len's Lens thing seems to have sent his ego up into the stratusphere and he's willing to shout at the other judges for having a different view to him yet he won't accept anyone questioning what he says. I think he's also tried to become th Alesha of the group because he thinks he needs to counterbalance Craig in order to make Craig the Simon Cowell act. But he doesn't want to fully let go of the grumpy old goat tag either so he ends up doing whatever he thinks will get him cheers instead of saying it from the heart.

Innuendo is fine, great even but with Len and Denise, I see an old letch. And his antiquated rhymes like the embarassing "yum yum pig's bum" is not endearing, it's actually cringeworthy.

Bruno veers into a self-parody a lot these days but he at least makes knowledgable points about the dancing, something I haven't seen Len do for a while. He just needs to pick his moments in being the exaggeration of the hyperactive, camp gay a bit better.

I agree with everything you've said. I think some of the comments he makes about Dani and Kimberley are letchy, especially Dani.

Len is very knowledgable about dance but his panel persona is starting to grate more and more each year - don't know how much of it is him and how much of it is as a result of the producers wanting conflict and controversy (soap values). Really liked Len when the show first started but age has not improved him.

He's not being lecherous he's just making a funny joke (perhaps I should say fanny joke but maybe that wouldn't go down well...ooh er missus).

I'm not bothered about innuendo, it's Len's grumpy impatient manner I find very rude. If Bruce comes to him for an appraisal by mistake or he hears booing from the audience he can be really surly. Sometimes he looks really fed up having to wait his turn to speak - very noticeable with Darcy this year because she does go on a bit. I think the affable cockney persona he likes to portray is put on a lot of the time.

Yes indeed. They bring the humour that Bruce whatever-his-name-is fails to provide any and every week.

I wish Len would put his hand on Darcy's waist and not her upper right cheek Craven, I wouldn't like him doing that to me

You really do have to check for your typos!

Luckily, we all know what you really meant to write:

Sir Bruce fails to amuse every week for me

Not at all Alan, the only 'f' word for Sir Bruce is Fabulous, the other best describes Len

Surly is a very good description of Len when he "goes off on one"
I really dislike the way he says "shut up" when the audience boo him. And they all get their time to comment, so he has no excuse to interrupt the others

I know it's all scripted, but it's such bad manners.

The audience should never boo and if they do they should be told to shut up.

I don't think that I have heard any booing so far jackbell.

The booing is irritating particuarly when one of the judges is making a valid point and it's difficult to hear what they're saying.

But Len is just like that to everyone. He is torn between being the new Alesha (the encouraging one) and keeping his reputation as the grouchy old-schooler. He seems to actually think everyone's respect and adulation should be on him.

He has a touch of the Bruce about him in that sense.
