TV which plays .avi files
I am looking to buy a new TV for Christmas but can't seem to find one which suits. I quite like the Technika range at Tesco but I'm not sure if they are compatible to play media files.
Requirements are as follows: - up to £250 - HDTV (think they are all HD these days) - HDMI connectivity - Between 20 to 27 inch - USB connection which will allow me to play various avi files (downloaded movies and tv shows) Any ideas? |

The specs on this for example
http://www.tesco.com/direct/technika...skuId=209-3494 state: "3 HDMI sockets, 1 SCART socket and 1 USB port. These enable you to connect your HD devices as well as view movies and pictures straight onto your TV and listen to your music in glorious stereo sound." I would assume from that that it will play MP3 audio as well as .aviDivX video files. It may not handle .mkv video The above is confirmed here http://www.techradar.com/reviews/aud...articleContent "It also surprises by offering not only PC connectivity but also playback of photo, music and video files from USB devices and its performance is superior to most ultra-cheap sets." |

A bit more expensive than your £250 but not by much but worth a look. Can be bought for around £280
