Oh dear... Love Don't Live Here Anymore... more memories of slow dancing and snogs in the front room...

(Girls didn't like the records I brought round)

Boo-B-B-Boo B-Boo Boooo
Wasn't this another example of the most incongruous song to be played out during an Erection Section?

I feel sorry for kids these days. Artists like Rihanna would give their right arm for a song as classy as this.
Surely this stuff should inspire modern artists. God only knows who inspires Rihanna apart from the accountant.

Well he was the proto-Milli Vanilli.

You have a very good point there.

Passed away....in Russia on 30th December 2010, and on the same date as Rasputin!

He never actually sang on these hits did he? It was Frank Farian. He was the 1970's Milli Vanilli.

What did you think would be cut-the words 'slag' and 'slut'?

They were on a recent TOTP2 package containing the song.

Great days back in 1978.

1979 was another good year, looking forward to the next programme.

Not sure I could sit through a whole programme on 2012 though!!!

Considering we heard him live on Daddy Cool back at the top of 1977.

Who was the guy who said he hoped he would meet Legs and Co but they were more interested in Showaddywaddy and Dave Van Day??
I thought it was Richard Jobson but I could be mistaken (this is like 'Screen Test' )

It was sure intriguing in the recent context of his missing episodes and his yet to answer bail. I'm not sure how to read it in all honesty. As far as Savile was concerned, no surprises there, but even if none of his behaviour had emerged I am not sure he would have featured at all in a 1978 inspired TOTP anyway, as he was on the decline in presenting terms by then, and nothing near as relevent as just a couple of years earlier in '76 when the repeats began.
