long time browser first time poster i would just like to say that im loving these totp repeats.i was 9 in 1978 and remember most of the songs on the shows. i suppose the bbc are probably right not showing the saville editions even though its a shame we cant watch them but as for the dlt shows surely it should be a case of innocent until proven guilty? looking forward to this weeks show.
Hi - I was 8 and just getting into the charts on a regular basis - it was a great time to get into music!!

The 4 year period at the end of the 60s and the three years starting in 1978 were, IMO, the best periods for pop and rock music in this country.

Loads of variety and interesting stuff.

Yes the late 60s (esp 1967) had some good songs too!

The cut price "Yes Sir, I can Boogie"

Easy on the eye though, so no complaints.

"Sorry I'm a lady". Something you'll never hear a woman on Jeremy Kyle say...

Are they singing "Have you got a light?" in the chorus?

I always think Peter Powell is going to say the word "sensational" whenever he intros acts. The grin never changes.

Sorry. But I was heavily influenced by my dad's record collection growing up, so I feel pop culturally older.

I'll let you off then

Don't recall this (thankfully).

"Early in the morning when you wake up
And your sleepy head is into make up"

And then the lyric gets worse
