I think most of the soaps stereotype black people, it would be nice to see a change from this. Paul has been involved in drugs and this type of story before compared to his brother Anthony who was a doctor, yet still stereotyped but in a positive way. So really where can the line be drawn in all of this? Is it a portrayal of real life (I don't think so) or is it a false stereotype. The only really positive one I can think of is Danny from Emmerdale.

I don't think that makes sense, I'll shut up now!

I agree with his final point - that the actors shouldn't blame the writers for their unpopularity (I think we know who he means ) but should look to their own performances. Think of the cr*p Paul is having shovelled at him, yet Gary B still turns in great performances.

I'm a bit confused (possibly just a badly structured article) that he says the character is found with cement boots on in the Thames, and then that he'd come back if Charlie Brooks asked him. Not another return from a watery grave?

I wish they hadn't killed him off, it has to be the worst decision LB made, and she made some stinkers. I'm sure he WOULD have agreed to come back at some point.

If I was Gary's wife, I don't think I'd be too pleased to know that he fancies Charlie Brooks! She must be more tolerant than I am.

I'm really sad to be seeing him go. I found him fascinating to watch. Hated what they did to the character in the end though, he should have stayed a lovable rogue.

Dont think she'd be that bothered myself. Shes very attractive, long blonde hair, etc etc. I think shes called Tanya if I remember rightly.

Do we see Paul's demise on screen? I thought he got shot - is this wrong?
