Viewing video via usb on tv.
Hello all.
Does anyone know why? When I try to view avi files on some usb equiped tv's. Some of the files will play but without sound. While other files on the same usb play ok. Yet on other tv's, such as my own everything plays fine. Is it a tv settings issue or something else perhaps? |

They may simply have different audio track types. Use Medianinfo to look at what audio they have.
Some of the common ones are MP2, MP3, lpcm, DTS, DTS-HD, AC3 2.0 or 5.1 (aka Dolby Digital) or aac (2.0 or 5.1). It should be possible to convert the audio on the ones that don't work. |

Can depend on the codec used and whether the particular TV will handle it or not.
This link deals specifically with Sony Bravia TV but may give you an idea of the cause http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/3...-from-USB-port |
