Derek Branning will be laid to rest, the worst written character in history of soap. His death should have been a mystery, like Archie, to create some suspense. Yes its quite soon after Archie (3 years though - so not that soon) but once that was out the way, we wouldn't need another whodunnit for at least a decade. Anyway, its all ruined now.

Max and Kat will get it on, Max is her secret lover. The fallout will be HUGE. Max and Kat shack up together much to the annoyance of Lauren and Abi. Tanya and Masood get it on. Kat finds out shes Alfie's sister as Charlie dies and Mo finds a birth certificate and a letter saying how Charlie wants Kat to be happy and does not want to destroy that happiness. They work well as a brother / sister unit, while Kat and Max work well as the new Den and Angie.

Lauren tries to make Kat think shes going insane.

A lorry crashes into the vic killing of lots of cast

Teresa Di Marco returns with her new family. Ian is shocked when he applies for a businessman of the year contest..and Mandy is the judge.

Denise, Ray, Ian, Bianca, Tanya Masood love hexagon blossoms which pushes Tanya over the edge and she flees on a 6 month break.

Jack gets the biggest shock of his life when he finds out Carol is his mum and Derek his dad.

there is a possibility that was Max's secret. But infact Max's secret is, Rainie won the lottery and then had an accident. She got amnesia. Max has convinced her that they are a couple and he works on the oil rigs in order to con her out of money.

Nobody has commented on the Alfie / Kat story, I think it would be a great idea to save them as a wonderful pair of characters, but without anymore relationship woes

I think if that happened it would destroy any credibility the had and ruin them both utterly. You'd be rampaging over two backstories that EE have gotten us time and time again to invest in, particularly the Slaters. If they turned out to be siblings (and I'm pretty sure there's enough evidence in the show to make this not possible, unless they retcon it to hell and back) it'd be probably the worst decision they've ever made.

I'm not sure of you were being serious or not, but there's a serious reply. :P

Alfie finds out Kats been shagging Derek, unable to live with the fact his wife wanted Toad in the hole instead of some Moonpie, he goes beserk kills Derek, Alice, Kat, Tyler, Whitney, Jack, Bianca, Roxy. Then he leaves the gas on and lights a fire and blows himself up.

They need to do something really over the top to get viewers hoping for Kat and Alfie to get back together again.
Here's an idea off the top of my head:

For Kat, once the affair is revealed and she loses Alfie to Roxy, the Harry wound is opened again. This pain causes her to have some sort of breakdown - sleep with loads of strangers because it's the only way she can almost feel good about herself (and also to keep a roof over her head in some cases). She is a complete outcast in the square due to her antics. This isn't just her having fun like the other times, we see she's in deep pain. Eventually, Kat hits rock bottom after a dangerous encounter and leaves to stay with Zoe while she gets professional help - she finally wants to change. When Kat returns after a short break, she has a new lease of life, as well as that old spark with Alfie again. After a SHORT love triangle with Roxy, Alflie finally admits he's always wanted Kat and that now she has finally found inner happiness and moved on from Harry, they could really work. However, Kat reveals to him that she is HIV positive (DUFF DUFF). The last part of the year is basically Alfie avoiding Kat (and possibly getting back with Roxy briefly) because he feels if he never dumped her she would have never gotten HIV. On Christmas day, Kat and Alfie finally kiss under the mistletoe and get back together.
