Claudia Winkleman - what's the point?

I don't quite get what she brings to the prog?

For starters she is the most ungainly woman on TV - she lopes in all hunched over and can't even walk in a straight line.

Her high heels were at least 2 sizes too big for her and she couldn't walk in them.

When she gets round to talking she just runs on and on and doesn't listen to people and I'm assuming she knows nothing about dancing because of her poor posture so what is the point of her being there?

Because she is witty.

What is it about her that makes my toes curl?

I don't see the point of her either. As much as I find Brucie cringe worthy with some of his old fashioned humour, jokes and un PC comments, I'd rather watch him present the show.

I would much rather watch Sir Bruce present Strictly as well bornfree

I can't see why Tess can't do the results show by herself. I always mute Claudia anyway!

she's been there since the beginning of the show, she's a wonderful antidote to the rather anodyne presenting of some, she's pretty, funny, lovely, sexy, quirky - and has been the source of some riproaring laughter over the years on ITT.

I think she's lovely and for me, I'm thrilled she's still part of Strictly - she's part of the whole show now.

There's something about her that makes me think of the scary girl in The Grudge. Perhaps it's that.

Not need to be confused! The best example is when Tess presented and Claudia was in the Tess-Pit.

Person after my own heart. Going back on topic Claudia just seems awkward at times. She is presenter who does much better when doing sitting interviews. She is not so bad when chatting to the contestants when they are all sitting together.

I like Claudia and unlike some do find her funny. The ditzy act is just that.

I absolutely agree, I wish she was presenting the main show, she is so natural, I luv the way she dresses, much better than OTT Tess who I just cannot stand, so much so I record SCD and play it back skipping over when she and Bruce is on lol.

I find her very annoying on the results show, and I loved her when she used to present It Takes Two. She seems to be exaggerating the quirkiness on Sunday nights, she doesn't need to do it because she is naturally funny - that galloping she does at the beginning of the show makes her look demented. I do like her on the Len's Lens section though.

I was struck by her similarity to Davina McCall when she presented SCD during Brucie's holiday and I don't just mean in terms of the way she spoke. This resemblance has become more and more uncanny to me as the series has progressed. Perhaps, she could present celebrity BB if she loses out to Brucie's 'replacement'!

Personally, I think that Sir Bruce should stay for a long time! Ok, he messes up his lines from time to time. Ok, some of his dance moves are cheesy but I would much rather have him than Claudia or Tess doing it all the time. I think that both of them are better in the 'Tess pit' rather than fronting the main show! I also think that Zoe Ball is much better at presenting it takes two! I wouldn't mind if she were Bruce's replacement if Tess remained, as she has a much better style than Claudia and has participated in the show herself so has more of an idea of what's going on from the dancers' point of view compared to Tess and Claudia!

Claudia brings wit and intelligence. In fact, she's the only source of both on SCD.

She certainly is odd and quirky, I'm not keen myself but my late husband adored her and laughed at her way of presenting. However, she is unique.

Claudia should be put out to grass. She's good at imitating horses as she trots onto the show. it's an elegant sho but she sits with her knees together and feet apart like an 11year old. Her clothes are incongruous to everybody else and makes me cringe. Zoe is so much better on It Takes Two getting through doule the content that Claudia managed. She's a clever woman but comes across as a nitwit. I don't know for howmany years she thinks that she can do "the little girl lost act" but it wore thin on me two years ago

I agree with you, but I just want to yell at her "For goodness sake stand up straight girl". I have no idea why she does that head down, very weird galloping on bit at the start. I just want her to keep her head up, stand up staight and have shoes that fit. At least she didn't have a black outfit on yesterday !!
