I like Claud, she is funny and witty and above all else doesn't need autocues. I am not sure she can read them as I believe she may have a sight impediment.

Nevertheless IMHO they should ditch Bruce now before the show escalates downwards, ratings-wise - it's plainly obvious from reading just the few threads on this forum that most people think the same way. I would push Tess into the background as I am not sure what she brings to the show and would pair Claudia with Bradley Walsh, if the BBC could prise him from ITV. Bradley and Claudia? - yes that would be a remarkable pairing and give the show an instant lift. The show needs that and would easily trounce ITV on the ratings war with the X-Factor show as from what I'm hearing that is doing very badly.

That's what I like about Claudia, as with Sir Bruce she doesn't need the auto cue.

Terry, you're making us laugh again.
They are like chalk and cheese.
She can follow the auto-cue and is word perfect and her ad-libs can be quite witty and funny.
He on the other hand has difficulty following the auto-cue, fluffs his words, becomes visibly irritated and his jokes are long, laboured and unfunny.

He's a bit like the BBC's albatross, they'd love to get rid of him, but daren't fire him.
They just hope he will go of his own accord, regardless of the positive PR they put out about him.

Bruce very badly does need the autocue, but can't/won't use it.

As ever, wrong again! Claudia is always professional, totally competent and interested in her audience. FForsyth is only interested, almost obsessively, in himself.

Do you know, Terry, your ongoing obsession with FForsyth makes me suspect that you are a borderline gerontophiliac.

Claudia is a Cambridge grad - I think that demonstrates that she is pretty smart and can manage without being prompted.

Spot on, cannot understand why people do not get her....... It is an act, she is super bright and very clever the way she draws you in and then drops you flat on your face with her one liners...... Unlike the other presenters who are soooooo predictable and crass!

People are too busy focusing on her eyeliner, hairstyle and posture to care.

It most certainly does.

I'd like Claudia to do Tess's Job and Tess host the show. They have proved they can do it.

I do like Claudia, but that might be a case of too many girls spoiling the broth.

I'm forced to agree completely with this.

I'm not what you'd consider Strictly 's target market (being a 40 year old chappie) but since my GF loves the show, and I like seeing beautiful women, er, dancing, I have ended up watching some episodes.

To me, at least, the main things dragging the show down are; 1) Bruce and, 2) Tess what's-her-face. Bruce should've been put out to pasture years ago. I'm sure he was "hilarious", "erudite" and "spontaneous" centuries ago. Now, however, he's none of the above, and personally, I think he believes his own hype.
As for his cohort, (de)tess(t) - if there's a less funny, charismatic, natural presenter on the planet, I've yet to see them. Seriously, she's as funny as an orphanage on fire and just as excruciating to watch.
I've seen/heard Claudia present several things and she absolutely blows the two of them right out the water, she has genuine (non autocued) wit, and is sharp as a tac when she wants to be. Who gives a shit about her hair/eyebrows/dresses (superficial much)?? She can actually do her job, unlike the aforementioned.
