By flare do you lens flare or flair? What's wrong a bit of either of the two. By the way everybody was talking about it, I thought it might actually be called Star Trek Into Darkness (which is a crap, slightly confusing title)...

Lens flare. I don't mind an occasional lens flare, but not so constant like the previous film.

Yeah, the title is a bit confusing. And comedic. "And there goes Star Trek...*swooooosh!*...into the darkness!"

Edit: I just realised it doesn't have 'the' in its title.

Gone already. Damn studio and their copyright claims.

Would it really hurt them to let people see it?

A friend of mine bought the DVD and thought there was something wrong with it - I had to convince him that it was deliberate and not an error on the disc.

Hah. Tell him to stay away from Total Recall (Colin Farrell). It has a serious lust for lens flares.
