Worst - Maurel BY FFFFAAAARRRRR!!!! And not a storyline but just everything about the hobbit, debbehs face and katie not being eaten by a giant earthworm

Alex & Moira and Cain & Moira's affair (or did that happen late last year?) - either way, for me, it ruined her character. I won't be investing anymore time into her relationship with Cain - it's pathetic :sleep:

Live episode was the best ever.

Worst: Amys mum...can't stand her at all! Debbie scowling at Cameron, scowling at Andy, scowling at Charity, scowling at Chastity, hell...scowling at everybody, saviour baby was painstakingly bad...and Debbies still scowling now Sarahs home. Just as bad was the downfall of Ashley (although brilliantly acted by all concerned) it was only instigated to get Marlon and Saint Laurel together...they just dont have the chemistry!..They don't work together. And Laurels holier than thou act has worn so thin it's see through! Bernice and her older man..excruciating so far...hope they're on a short contract! Ali Spencer...so irritating I want to hit the screen when she's on...bad acting, bad character and bad idea....but worst of all this bad stuff this year was whatshername...Paddys wife....the way shes treated and spoken to Paddy, Marlon and Saint Laurel is just sooo annoying...she seemed to forget that the baby is Marlons also. I hope she leaves next!

I still need to catch up on a lot of the episodes from this year, but I'll say what I've liked from what I've seen.

Favorite:

Zak being sanctioned is probably my most favorite. It was so wonderfully written and acted.

While I don't like the fact that Rachel and Jai slept together. I do like the Jai part of the story. I like him struggling with the fact that Charity doesn't want to have another child. Only to just kind of come to terms with it and end up getting the chance to be a father and have to throw it away. I know he's like a dad to Noah and that he loves Noah but it is different when it's your own kid. I think Jai struggling to deal with everything is being wonderfully acted even if the story isn't the best.

obviously the live episodes were great. Even though I don't like that Carl's been killed off. But I do like Jimmy struggling with his feelings about how he should feel about Carl's death. I thought Nick Miles did a wonderful job with that.

While I have zero clue where it came from, I did like the Ashley/Sandy story. It was wonderfully done and Ashley struggling to find his way in the aftermath of the fallout was also good.

Sam/Rachel - while I'm not the biggest fan of her part in the whole pregnancy thing. I do like the connection forming between her and Sam and they could end up being a very sweet couple.

Worst:

Personally I think the Cain/Moira affair that is just beginning is among the worst. After everything Cain did to her and her marriage. I know it takes two to tango and all of that. I just think there's too much bad blood there to make an affair truly plausible.

Laurel and Rhona hating each other and not letting Paddy and Marlon be friends. I just don't get it.

I miss Carl so I really don't like that he's dead.

Chas and Cameron's affair. Chas knows what it's like to be cheated on. She loved Carl and tossed him aside because of his affair with Eve. I just don't understand why they had her hurt Debbie the way she was hurt. Makes no sense. (I know she cheated on Paddy so she has form for it. But this is different).

The intro. of the male vet only to have him be gone in the next few episodes. I kind of liked the guy. They could have done something interesting with him rather than doing what they did.

The Dingles not supporting Chas and instead giving into the threat of Cain (which I say as a Cain fan, I do like him a lot). They're all scared what Cain will do but you'd think after Zak beat the guy he wouldn't be afraid of what Cain might do. I understand them not wanting to hurt Debbie anymore than she's already been hurt. But Debbie needs to grow up. Yes, it's upsetting when you loved someone and you not only let them into your life but your child's too only to have them let you down. But if it wasn't Chas it would have been someone else. I think Debbie needs to focus on Sarah and Jack and not on getting revenge on Chas. Because, getting revenge and trying make Chas go to prison won't make her heart be any less broken. Rather, it will prevent her from making amends with Chas and trying to get that relationship back. Which will help heal the pain. I think anyway.

The two with potential that was absolutely wasted were the elder abuse sl, which just became a feeder plot for the monster that is Maurel, and Ali's illiteracy, which with better acting and better writing could have been fantastic.

Worst:

Aaron's exit (glad to see the back of him, but it was such a lousy plot)

Sarah's illness. Debbie's continued existence.

Charity in mega bitch mode (just like her vile daughter)

Build up to Carl's death, and killing him off. Suddenly Chas hated him (yeah right after all this time). Chas' affair with Cameron, and suddenly he is the only man she has ever loved. Carl being killed of in the way he was - he would never have attempted to rape or kill Chas, it was very poor scriptwriting.

All of the spencers, perhaps barring Dan.

Charity being foul.

Rhona the moaner.

Marlon and Laurel.

Best:

Pollards very slow change in character - now he's getting older, this has been well done.

Edna and Tootsie's storyline.

Worst

Carl being killed off
Chas/Cameron affair & Cameron being Chas true love..

Like EmmerStreetFan, I think that Brett the Vet was written out far too soon.

It was also nice to see Scarlett back, too. Would be nice to see her return full-time (but not her mum)

Yeah I'd love Scarlett to come back full-time.

I dont miss Brett the Vet as much as I miss the divine Nicky Pritchard though.
