The P800 as standard doesn't record video, BUT you can buy an application which allow you too (search on Handango) - the app will only work if you have a certian firmware and above! it then acts like the P900
£90 all in sounds a bargin! there a smashing phone! Software wise, you might find some on the free stuff on the net, otherwise try ebay or filesharing sources!

David Do a search for Symbian UIQ software. There are loads of games and useful apps about. I have 2 CDs full of software and games for them now (legal stuff) that I have collected, so it's not hard to find. |

Simple thing, if you want a phone then move on, if you want a phone / PDA in one then it could be for you.
It's still a decent phone, even though the P900 and P910i have been released (and the A1000, but that's Motorola). Decent enough though. |

where is this great deal?
Using kelkoo I can only find it at £276, with a replacement LCD screen for the P800 costing £99.95, it looks like a very very good deal. |

i went second hand on ebay, theres usually loads on there finishing around the £100 mark. yes, basicly i wanted one for the pda, phone, camera and mp3 player in one, as i am sick of carrying everything seperately. saves me getting a PDA that i will hardly use as its too much to carry round all the time.
anyone know what the name of the software to make it record video is? as the phone is waiting at home for me now, so i can get it when i got home tomorrow night. Thanks. David |

Annoying thing is that I spotted it a while back, but as my A1000 records video I didn't bother with it and now I can't find it again
![]() I think I may have a demo on one of my Symbian UIQ CDs, so I will take a look. |

I think it's called Camcoder and you need a certain firmware on your P800 for it to work, so older P800s can't run it.
I have the beta on a CD if you want it or you can do a search for camcoder on Google. Handango.com may also have it. |

Hi,
Does anyone have any idea where the best place is (preferably in Sussex, UK) to get the P800's firmware upgraded to the most recent version? I've had one for quite a while but have never needed to update it, but now that I'm using Bluetooth and the Internet a bit more, I'd like to get updated to remove a couple of known bugs. Is it just a case of taking the phone in? Does it get updated while you wait? I'm aware that I'd need to back my data up first... Regards, - Ali |
