I feel sick. Watching again on +1 and I just feel sick. It's horrific. The man is vile and Brendan's so destroyed already. I can't even.

The scene in the pub is unbearable though. Ste's face when he realises what Pa is like, and that Brendan can't tell him who he is.

Emmett really, truly acted out his scene yesterday so very much like Fintan is playing Pa.

That man is far too good.

Fintan is good, I mean really good. I want him dead already and after thinking I was done with the murder stuff, that shows how good he is

Aw I love that Theresa and clearly Frankie were excited for Ste and Brendan .

And controversial maybe but Darren's singing was adorable at the end . Besides the gross stripper it was an excellent episode.

It's so great. In a way I'm glad they brought Pa back right now, because even though it's torture for Brendan it also is giving us some absolutely superb, heartbreaking Stendan scenes.

The clever thing is he makes it almost funny. But it's really really terrible at the same time, that his Dad makes him feel like this.

Details like that in the writing, plus blinding performances from Fintan, Emmett and Kieron are what really set this storyline apart. Brendan's stance is usually so dominant and alpha-y, but when his dad squared up to him in that scene before the break his whole posture was slouched, broken and defensive.

We're only really one episode into Seamus's stint and already I can see that it's even more hard-hitting than I thought it was going to be.

I went from tearing up at Ste calming down Brendan and hugging him to laughing my head off at Darren singing One direction to Oscar LOL

thats why I love hollyoaks. Crying one minute, laughing the next.

I'm amazed that it's got so intense so quickly. I was expecting a more low key build up. But they've hit the ground running, and it's terrifying.

Seamus hates everyone doesn't he.

Oh I know, he sort of scarpered and then laughed himself almost like he saw how ridiculous it was.

Can I just say the ending was really ballsy - there was every suggestion when he hit the wall that he'd hit Ste like that
