Anyone else slightly worried the Stendan strand of tonight's ep is going to be a bit sparse/rushed? They seem to have a few other storylines going on tonight and JP is said to have a more prominent role, which means more screen time for him. We had 19 minutes of a 25-min episode last night dedicated to Ste/Brendan/Doug and the only other story was the little bits of Dodger. I admit I'm a little worried we're going to be let down slightly tonight...

I still think they'll be the main plot but probably be less than yesterday since yesterday was technically two separate plots that met at the end and tonight will just be one unified plot but they should still dominate.

Pa is straight and his interest only seemed to be in... young Brendan.
Re-watching the last scene from yesterday and other than the whole 'Surprise' thing, there is one other thing that bothers me.
JP doesn't even flinch when Ste walks into the bedroom. Most, well adjusted people, would have some kind of reaction to that situation...

Jp and Brendan scene was funny. Pulling the cracker, fancying the priest etc. I didn't mind it.
Stug scene made me.......well sad actually. Despite the ship being pap to begin with, if you just believe it for a fraction of a second, then omfg, Doug's speech was just heartbreaking! Then the fraction of a second passes and yeah, back on track!
Ste's line to Chez! *OMGSQUEE!* Ste's little head shake and smile *OMFGSQUEE!!!*
Brendan breaking over and over again and then totally flabergasted when he answers the door to Ste and OMFG I NEARLY DIED!
Totally forgiving the lack of continuity, might even forgive the SURPRISE!!! Which I burst out laughing at.

It got me thinking, I don't want Ste wandering around Dublin alone crying for too long. If they're gonna waste time giving JP a prominent role in this business with Brendan, I'd imagine Ste would get scenes looking for another hotel for the night, calling Mike or Cheryl or something, even meeting a kind stranger before Brendan catches up to him.
