And I've already said it, but I love how Ste's all giddy and chatting away constantly whilsts Brendan's all content, just listening to him rabbit on about nothing because he talks to much. It's literally the most canon thing about Stendan

I just watched on frozenstrawberries and I'm glad I did, because it honestly felt like something that could have been out of the end of a movie (which I reckon watching tomorrow on Channel 4 will take away from). The camera, sound, lighting - everything was exceptional. The movement from plot from the opening just generally shippy perfection to 'I'm going to show you where I grew up' to the deep emotions that followed and back to the lightness again was just brilliant and I hope both Emmett and Kieron feel proud of their acting tonight because it was spot on. Beeen so long since I've been so drawn into something. The pub scene was something amazing.

I sobbed three times and had immense feels from the opening scene and kisses - WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT - can any of us have asked for better?

I don't know what else to say except SOOOOOOOOOOB and I need to go back and rewatch.
If I ever write a story or a play with as good and compelling characters as this, I consider my life ambitions to be complete

I've barely made it through a second rewatch because I keep pausing and rewinding everything.

Considering that people were dead set against Ste and Brendan's reunion, HO have done a stellar job tonight, because so many people seem to be impressed with it and those who aren't, for the most part, justify it.

I am just so overly happy we got this and I do feel like we have been slightly pandered to and I don't even care. The potential was there, so why not explore it and make people happy at the same time!

I know! You'd think after all these fics and fantasies, nothing would make us blush. But it just was incredibly intimate.

All this reminds me of the day that me and mojo met Emmett and he was still saying things like if Brendan and Ste did finally get together, people might find it an anti-climax, and all I could think to stammer out was that they were so alike, they seemed really a match to me. And I'm just really happy that we're finally seeing that now. They just seemed so close in that pub scene. I never thought we'd ever get anything as good as that, in a million years. It's amazing.

I love the oops face. And even more, I love the "jesus christ I adore you" smile Brendan gives him back.

And another thing, with Doug Ste always looked like the grown-up, older, heavier. But with Brendan again, my god, has he ever looked more delicately beautiful than he did in that bed? It's the contrast. Brendan looks older, bigger, rougher, and Ste looks like an angel.

Also I was Christmas shopping today and came across a card that (not incredibly Christmassy) said:

'Real love stories never have endings'

Made me think a little bit of Stendan and perfect love relationships in general. And actually made me happy. Even when there is an end to it, love is made up of moments - like today's episode! - and so it never really 'ends'. Even when it's all finally over, in whatever way Emmett leaves, they still had Dublin.

I genuinely think that scene in the pub might have been one of their finest moments.
