And another thing, with Doug Ste always looked like the grown-up, older, heavier. But with Brendan again, my god, has he ever looked more delicately beautiful than he did in that bed? It's the contrast. Brendan looks older, bigger, rougher, and Ste looks like an angel.

A fallen angel.

I genuinely think that scene in the pub might have been one of their finest moments.
Not just Stendan's either, the whole show's. Honestly, I've never seen them do anything as good as Later this year, and this. Emmett has pushed them to a whole new level really. He's so special.

What a fantastic interview. His answers are so in-depth.

This is amazing:

If you write me a taxi scene, I'm not shooting it!

It never fails to amaze me how much he gets Brendan and Ste's relationship.

That's a great, great interview. I love that we're getting stuff of him being a father. And the way he describes things developing with Pa/Fintan is really exciting.

And I love how he talks about Stendan, and how it had to be explored, and how it took on a life of his own. He sounds so thoughtful.

He's wrong about JP, but I'll overlook it.

Oh that was a great interview.

I'm looking forward to him being a father to Leah and Lucas, trying to be the boyfriend he never could before and dealing with Pa. It's going to be brilliant.

And Walker is sooo coming back for Brendan's exit too, 'it's not finished, not by any stretch of the imagination' is the most obvious thing ever.

I think there is hope for Brendan and we're only going to find out in the upcoming months whether it's all going to be in vain or not."

He says months, plural so is it possible we have him for a bit longer than we thought. Please

His answers about Brendan and Seamus are fascinating.

Brendan tries to stand up to him, but he falls back down. How do you get out of something like that? I don't know. His father sure as hell hasn't changed.
I honestly have no idea what's going to happen.

I wish he would just confirm or deny the leaving-in-the-new-year rumours. Put us all out of our misery. He was skirting around it so much in that interview!

But aww, the bits about trying to be a good boyfriend to Ste and being a father to the kids melted my heart.

He gives good interview, does Emmett. Really understands his character and how it affects the people around Brendan.

Oh yeah, no doubt about it.

But at least we know it won't be a taxi exit.

I felt like I was going to tear up at this too

Brendan is still the 8-year-old child who was raped by his father. He can take his dad in a fight possibly - but psychologically, forget about it.

I love this bit:

Brendan has got heart and I think that is what's important for any likeable villain - they need heart, vulnerability and to be flawed. There needs to be hope, too.

I wondered why it sounded familiar, then I remembered that I'm sure Ela-May or someone tweeted one of Leah's drawings, and it was a bug motel.
