Blimey!!

Blimey again!

Have Splash, Britain's Brightest and Dancing On Ice shifted much from their overnights Yog?
We haven't seen massive shifts (especially compared to what we saw of Christmas)

Splash = 5,662 (+1: 190)
Britain's Brightest = 4,952
Dancing on Ice = 7,903 (+1: 310)
Skate Off = 7,061 (+1: 240)

This all means that Splash! has seen the biggest Timeshift (excl: VOSDAL) out of those 2 programmes of 204,000

Ah! It's only ITV shows that are repeated that are allowed to be added together. It doesn't work with BBC1. It's the law.
BBC repeats are all pensioners watching a second time.

ITV repeats are watched by people incapable of setting their PVRs but who obviously would have watched, naturally, or who were duped into watching something better on BBC1...

They're hardly rising at all. I expected more from Dancing On Ice. So it's up to over 8m with +1 included. Britain's Brightest not rising much at all.

Just an FYI regarding BARB data requests. Because I recently got a promotion at work I probably won't be able to spend as much time reading this thread as I have done the past couple of weeks.

So some requests may go unnoticed, if that's the case, feel free to PM me the requests and I'll get to them when I can.

Richard Bacon says that his TV Reviews section today will be the best ever

Probably slagging off Splash some more.

That's impressive considering the comedy juggernauts on BBC1 and Lewis.
Yeah. The fact that nobody is really mentioning CBB in here says it all. If it was doing badly we wouldn't hear the end of it!

ouch for Trisha USA, was expecting more than that. Still im betting its cheap and adds a little more variety to the Channel 5 daytime schedule.
To be fair, it had no promotion whatsoever. And it inherited a lower than usual lead-in from The Wright Stuff which was down presumably because it was the first show back. Both shows should grow over the coming days and weeks.

Nah its a bit early for most of the CBB worshippers to be home from school.

It seems no one else cares anymore.

Bit rich for the person responsible for the most childish comment of the day to be saying that. Did you get sent home early due to bad behaviour?

Try and spin 2.2m as an insignificant number of people all you like, I really couldn't give a toss. People who know anything about ratings wouldn't be coming out with such daft things.

Ooh most childish comment of the day, thats some insult considering some of the posts i've seen across DS today yikes.

Actually I used to love BB as much as anybody here but went off it now I can't stand it and can't understand why anybody let alone me ever watched it, but thats just my opinion and will do my best to keep my extreme irritation to reading posts about it to just the occasional childish comment like the earlier one.

Programmes I don't like get discussed in here all the time, so what? It's The Ratings Thread, not The Ratings for shows that kwynne42 approves of Thread. Feel free to start that one though, this one has got so big we could do with launching our own spinoff.

It's not right that every element of X Factor, for example, is analysed in forensic detail all year round but anyone who wants to talk about CBB numbers for the 3-4 weeks that's it on has to walk on eggshells in case it upsets a select few. I think you just need to get over it and skip past any posts that don't interest you, it's what most of us do.

I don't recall saying anything like the first paragraph, everyone has a right to say anything they like including me so lets just agree you like BB and I don't.

I heard it, fawning over Helen Lederer. If he thinks that's the best he's ever done God knows what was the worst. He said all the contestants were fantastic but the format of the show was all wrong

Eek! So people tuning in expecting an honest appraisal of ITV's new entertainment show instead got The Splash! Appreciation Society.

Bacon has been booked for ITV's All Star Family Fortunes next week, incidentally. They might have to find him more work after this.

Is anyone on here going to fess up to being behind the @GeorgeITV twitter account?

It's really inspired stuff, and I swear it's nothing to do with me. I am only a follower because he/she followed me.

Must be someone on here....

Looks as though ITV need to rethink their attitude towards Lewis. They have little or no weeknight drama which could rate better than that. I think they should be ordering another series.

Not sure I believe the story about Kevin Whately's desperation for a summer off this year, being the reason for doubts about the show's future. If he is desperate for a summer off, they could film it in the autumn instead.
