Emmerdale should have done better though, but it's scheduling let it down. Downton is rather underwhelming too - I thought quite a few might have taped it then watched it after EE from 9.45-11.15pm, skipping the ads. ITV might have been better playing it on Sunday, though of course they've nothing else which will pull in 7m over two hours on Christmas Day.
It'll be interesting to see whether Corrie can overthrow EastEnders when it comes to the officials (I don't think Downton has a chance!).
ITV topping BBC1 for an hour and a half in the morning. I guess they'll take the victories where they can.
Mrs Brown the figure of the period for me - and I could see it easily topping 10m tonight. Better than I expected to for The Snowman and the Snowdog, though still can't help thinking how much more it might have got had it aired 90 minutes earlier. And ITV got exactly what they deserve for the Spice Girls - that was a dead Saturday filler at best, not Christmas Eve stuff. They should have put Panto! in the slot really.”

Well to all those saying EastEnders is the weak part of BBC1 line up and it has no place on xmas day your soooooooooo wrong.
EastEnders stays firm and keeps it's place in the Christmas day line up.
