Motorola DCT5100 Ethernet
Ok, I have the DCT5100 digital receiver. I know it has an ethernet port and also USB ports.
I want to know if the ethernet port can be used to stream video directly from my computer to the box. Also, if it is possible to use a USB wireless connector rather than the ethernet. If anyone could point me in the right direction or just tell me its impossible, that would be greatly appreciated. Finally, if it is impossible, is there any device that does allow streaming of shared video files over a network connection to a television? |

From Motorola
"Ethernet, USB, DOCSIS cable modem (high-speed interactivity), front panel A/V inputs are features of the DCT5100 that may not be active at time of purchase. These features were designed for future use and applications that your local cable provider may make available to you in the future." Sounds like you need to ask your cable provider |

Yeah, I remember reading that, but the sources I found it on were a few years old. I guess I'll call my provider and check it out. Thanks for the linkbluey, I'll check that out too.
