Failed recordin etc
well i have Made In Chelse set to series record for OH, and last night it also recorded made in chelse come dine wi me special??? weird...
i also have You've been scammed on series record and all has been well apart from today, i come home and it has failed to record, i have my hdr 1000s thru a network switch so i know when its on and when its off, well come home today and the light was on on the switch but the box was off, so i switched it on and checked system settings, it says was updated 3rd december probs for new channels, but when i checked signal tuner it was only showing signal on tuner 2, i know it only shows 1 when only 1 is in use but thats usually tuner 1.... anyway switched off and back on and now shows signal on tuner 1.... very strange..... |

The way the box allocates the current tuner when only one is in use is a tad mysterious. I guess if tuner 1 records longer than tuner 2 then it makes tuner 2 the active one otherwise if you were using it you would lose the buffer if it changed back to tuner 1. After the power sequence reverts to tuner 1.
At a guess the two recordings were down to same series crid allocated by channel 4. Set a power on timer (I use BBC1-HD) at 05:00 and power off timer at 05:15. Known bug seems to fail first recording of the day if a reboot doesn't precede the recording. |
