Lucy Pargeter - Emmerdale!!!
I know Lucy Pargeter (Chas) gets a lot of flack on these forums but was I the only one who thought she was absolutely incredible during the end of Wednesday nights episode? Her speech in the courtroom was superbly acted and was well and truly Lucy at her best.
I genuinely feel a Best Actress and/or Best Dramatic Performance nomination(s) will soon be coming her way!!! |

Emmerdale keeps doing this. They have terrible plots, badly executed, but they lead to scenes where the talented cast get to act their socks off, like Ashley during the elder abuse plot or Debbie in that scene with Charity outside the hospital.

I dont think its Lucy Pagreter that gets the flack its mostly Chas and how overused she is!
But she was phenomenal in that last scene last night and her stuff with Aaron last year was unbelievably good she is a brilliant actress! |

Agree with all the above and it is such a shame that most of these very good actors are constantly let down by unfeasible dialogue and ludicrous scripts.
![]() Well done Lucy, you were great last night, (in spite of that ridiculous fringe TPTB have saddled you with).

I quite like chas, and dobbeh just come across last night as to what she is, a vindictive bitch who deserves all the misery they can throw at her. I mean both charity & dobbeh are hardly virgins when it comes to nicking blokes, so its a bit pot kettle having a pop at chas, & dobbeh forgets she nicked cameron from another woman which Chas's barrister should have thrown back in her face.
I hope when chas gets out & back in the pub she bans charity & dobeh & kicks that unfit mother bernice back to the gutter where it belongs. |

I have to agree. She played a blinder in those last five minutes or so last night. Excellent piece of acting, which is what we know she can do, when she is given the right tools to work with.
Bravo, Lucy.

Got to agree. The stick thrown at Chas for being overused is no reflectio on Lucy.
She showed last night that with the right script etc she can put in a breathtaking performance. Chas was certainly more impressive than Debbie, but that is no criticism of Charley, who is acting her socks off as the wronged, spoiled and deluded woman, who can't forgive Chas for seeing Cameron while she was looking after her sick daughter, even though she screwed Ketchup Boy behind Cameron's back, which in her demented world, isn't anything wrong. |

I have to admit, I really have never liked the character that Chas portrays but I must give credit where it is due for the court acting, it was outstanding.

she's a good actress it's just the character of Chas that got unlikeable as she was getting overused.

The fringe is awful, it's too full and round as if someone put a bowl on her head and cut round it. When it was tied back, I expected to see a tonsure.
Lucy is a good actress and very beautiful when she has a hairstyle that flatters her features. |

Lucy rocks Emmerdale. She is by far one of my most favorite characters of all time.
I really don't understand the hate because firstly she can act and secondly any storylines that she has been involved in have always been brilliant! Some people are far too critical. |

Lucy is a fantastic actress and well capable of getting her teeth into any storyline but the point people are maing is Emmerdale have over-used Chas this last year. She has been involved in pretty much every storyline and has been in the most episodes this year than any other cast member. Nothing against Lucy at all - Just too much Chas. Lucy needs a well earned break and they have the perfect explainatuion for her abscence - Visiting Aaron |
