Just got back from watching this. I thought it was one of the best films I've seen in a long time.
Not a dry eye in the cinema! In particular the young lad, Tom Holland I think?, was unbelievable. He really blew me away. Fantastic acting. |

Emotional wreck at the end. And Tom Holland stole the show....with his two Brothers, Ewan & Naomi weren't bad too....CGI was amazing too. |

Just got back from seeing it - amazing!!! All of the main 5 cast were absolutely brilliant.
Spoiler
@Stansfield - I'm assuming Tom is the oldest brother? I agree, he was fantastic! |

What makes me weary about this film is that some cinemas are optioning out of showing this film. I will go anyway though because it looks good.

I think this film is incredible. Yet it seems not many people are talking about it. A lot of people still being head over heals in love with Life of Pi. I personally feel this is a much more beautiful film. Hope it doesn't get too overlooked during award season.

This film was phenominal. Without doubt one of the best (if not the best!) films i've ever and probably will ever see. I genuinley couldn't give this film more praise. Everything about it was spot on. Also, i agree with the comments about Tom Holland, for me he was the star of the show, exceptional acting, he is going to be huge!

They're both great films but I'm not sure I'd describe The Impossible as beautiful.

What struck me was the incredible comerarderie and generosity of people towards each other, esp the Thai people who had lost their homes, livelihoods and possibly their own friends/family yet still their 1st instinct was to help anyone caught up in the disaster.
Traumatic as this film is, it helped restore my faith in humanity... And yes, the eldest boy is fantastic! I hope this doesnt get drowned out by the Hobbit & Life of Pi hype. Maybe, like the Shawshank Redemption, this is a film who's reputation will grow when it comes out on DVD?? |

Absolutely loved this film, as others have said one of the best I have seen in years, I'n not one to get emotional over a film but this one had me going.
Its rare I buy a DVD but I will definitely be adding this to my small collection. |
