Upgrade charges at T Mobile.

My current contract has ended and I am due an upgrade with T Mobile.

I currently have an iPhone4 but on handling the 5 in store at Tesco's, I was disappointed. Hate to admit it as I usually like Apple but although the build quality us excellent and it will sync with iTunes etc, I just didn't like it. It's simply too small and Apple have made an error, simple as that really, IMHO.

So I had a look at the Samsung's, my second favourite brand and loved the Galaxy Note2.

TMobile quoted me the outrageous price of £210 to upgrade to the note and I declined.

I then went onto their website and saw that they are offering them on the same tariff I already have for £129.

I really don't want the hassle of ending one contract and starting a new one but am thinking that might be a better option.

If I try to push them in the upgrades dept, I wonder if they will cut me a deal?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks.

Did you try and go through the 'pay monthly upgrades' option and see what price it offers it to you for?

Thanks for replying.

I did go for the pay monthly upgrades and that's the price.

I would ring them up and tell them that you're leaving if they can't match the price. I'd be very surprised if they don't...

Are you actually due an upgrade or are you doing it early? If so, that would account for the extra premium. If you are due one, the person who quoted you is in the wrong, go into your EE shop and ask for a "direct match" upgrade.

I am due an upgrade, this is not an early one.

I am out of contract, that's why I thought there would be a better deal on offer.

I was more than surprised at the quoted price for the up grade.

I was going to look at O2 and Vodaphone and compare, then maybe end my contract with TMobile unless they an come up with a better deal.
