Lorraine Couldn't Make It For Christmas ( DayBreak)
I'm surprised not to see Lorraine this week to end a ITV year of up and downs with their flag ship breakfast show? Maybe ITV chose the wrong person.. Never mind. At least all the original and new presenters made it.

Lorraine is at home baby-sitting her 19-year-old daughter.

I really don't understand her situation. Not very professional at all.

If I watched, I'd be grateful for not seeing her.

Come on, everyone - like you couldn't have laid a bet on this happening when the all-new (ish) shiny Daybreak started...

Daybreak not now back until Wednesday January 2,ITV will just have to hope there isn't a big overnight story as it will leave them looking extremely exposed with the ITV 5.30 am News ending as well tomorrow morning.

Does she still get paid when she can't be bothered to turn up?

Yeah but she hasn't done the rest of the week also, its been Kate on the main programme, and on the Lorriane show this week.
Slightly off topic, with Lorrriane never there on a Friday, should the Lorianne show just be Monday to Thursday, like GMTV used to do. They had there Entertainment Today show which ran for years hosted by Ben Shepard and Jenni Falconer, should they do something similar on a Friday these days. Or Call the Friday show something like Daybreak Extra with Kate |

Really surprised there isn't a Daybreak on Christmas Eve, as back in the GMTV days, they used to make a big thing of there Christmas Eve Show.
They gave the opportunity for expats, to say merry Christmas to those family they wont be seeing, normally from Sydney or Melbourne, and either Mark Little or an aussie broadcaster would be there. Andrea McClean or Claire Nazir, would end up at a Childrens Hospice, where they would be all morning, and at the end Santa normally drove a brand new car in, filled with chrissie presents. And Wizard or mud, would end the programme. |
