I loved it when he was trying to apologize to Leah and he spoke to her almost like he was talking to someone his own age. It makes him look ten times more awkward. It's like he's trying to find his own feet as a father again.

I also love that with Leah and Lucas you can almost imagine Brendan seeing it as a second chance to be a good Dad. Like he wants to do things right with Ste's kids like he felt he never did with his own kids.

Oh me too!

I was also quite happy with Ste's reaction. He was confused and comforted Leah, but it felt like he knew why Brendan did it and knew he was in a bad place. I was a little worried it would turn into a mini Stendan fight with Ste yelling at Brendan to not speak to his daughter like that.

I love that their keeping Brendan and Mitzeee as friends and they can talk to each other about a lot, that little scene makes me think she may play a little minor role in all this, but then it could also be for...exit purposes
