songs you cannot bear to hear on xfactor
which songs do you hate hearing on xfactor? top of my list is bridge over troubled water. 2 reasons; the original cannot be bettered in terms of arrangement and art garfunkels vocals were perfection. anything else just pales into insignificance for me

Do we mean songs that are played over auditions? Or songs sung by contestants?
If it's by contestants, it has to be Purple Rain. It has become such a staple of the show since Ruth Lorenzo sang it. Nobody will outshine her in singing that song on this show. Ever. So many have sang it now (I think it's at 6 now with US X Factor and I'm including BGT in there to make it a higher number :P). The only other person I remotely like singing that song is TreyC Cohen, but even then, it paled in comparison to the raw emotion Ruth had when she sang it. |

John Lennons 'Imagine', and Michael Jacksons 'Ben'
Also any of the girlbands doing 'Venus' - such an obvious choice

A Song For You
I also hate when they sing 'I can't Make You Love Me' - this is the one that goes "Turn down the lights, turn down the bed". Uurgh!! Both are so predictable and are sung so often on X Factor and American Idol. |

Is that the dreadful one that goes 'I've been so many places in my life and times". If so, this is the one I was thinking of. I just cringe when anyone utters those opening lines.

Anything by artists such as Beyonce or Queen. X Factor contestants should not even bother singing those songs as they will never even come close to the original recordings.

I agree with 'Feeling Good', 'Purple Rain' and the song choices from Dream Girls, particularly 'Listen'.
These song choices have been down to death across the format... Impossible, Make You Feel My Love, I Won't Give Up, You've Got The Love, Rule The World, I Have Nothing, Sweet Dreams, Fix You, Man In The Mirror, With or Without You, Everybody Hurts, Proud Mary, Don't Stop Me Now, One Moment in Time and Who Wants To Live Forever. Last Dance was killed to death in the earlier seasons and hasn't been on for awhile but Paige recently did it on the US one. |

Any Beatles songs, Unchained Melody, You raise me up, anything Queen did because everyone screws it up. Basically any classic well know song that gets trashed, ooops wait that means no more x factor lol
