Tom is very far from being camp he is a very talented sportsperson and a great Role model.

"Male celeb" sounds about right for him....I don't really view him as an Olympic sportsman (and I'm not sure he does either.....he clearly has his eyes on a career in TV and showbiz).

Why who do you think is sexy if you don't think Tom is.

Hes just a kid! perhaps when he grows up he might be presentable, but all I see is a teenage kid when I look at him. Oh and he poses too much for the cameras and wears too much fake tan for my liking.

COme back in 10 or 20 years time and I might see it differently.

That for starters, but sexiness is personal choice.

well sexiness isnt just about aesthetics. A bit of something about them- hard to describe but he just seems a bit 'nice'

I thought you meant Daley Thompson - hideous fat slob.

Dunno about Tom Daley being sexy but he is a fantastic role model for young people. Of late, that Rebecca Addington is becoming a right old sour puss!

he is a good role model to be fair, but i suspect he is interested more in his media career now. i don't think he is the sexiest male celeb, channing/ryan,/craig are far more manly for a start and `splash` just looks horrendous.

He's an 18 year old boy. How can a boy be sexy? I'd feel icky lusting over someone so young, the same goes for the 1D boys.

This.

I am really disappointed that he has gone down the celeb route and appears to be lapping it up like the cat who got the cream. While I don't blame him for wanting to have a bit of fun and make some easy money, he has lost all credibility in my eyes. A shame as he seemed much more grounded before the Olympics.

I kind of preferred it before when our medal winning athletes were relatively unknown. Now the likes of Daley, Pendleton, Wiggins and Smith have turned into right fame-hungry media whores, kicking the likes of Katona and Houghton to the kerb.

I totally agree. I really don't like it either. It makes them look desperate and egotistical, and devalues them as people with actual talent and work ethic. You get the feeling Tom Daley just wasn't taking the Olympics seriously in terms of competing - he seemed like he was much more into the glitz and glamour and doing the rounds on the celeb circuit. I found it quite sad to see as it seems like young people have been programmmed now to want fame and all the shallowness that comes with it above everything else.

On one hand I think it's quite refreshing that this glossy celeb culture is promoting those that have actually worked hard to achieve something rather than scumbags like Childs and Goody who nothing but act like morons.

But we're getting irritating little high-pitched tits like Daley who seems to think he's the greatest Olympian this nation has ever produced despite just scraping a bronze after sulking to the refs.

I can't help but feel that the desire to be famous and recognisable is endemic even within our Olympians/athletes now.

Let's hope the legacy of London 2012 that was spoken of is more than just fodder for trashy TV shows.

What rubbish. And to include Bradley Wiggins of all people in there is just moronic.
