The final 5 Thoughts thread of the series and I firstly want to thank those who have posted or viewed each week. The posting and viewing count numbers has been consistently amazing and I'm glad some people have commented on how they've enjoyed the purpose of the thread.

Since there are two shows tonight then this final thread is special since I will allow people to post twice if they wish to with up to 10 thoughts combined.

1) I am so mixed minded as to who I want to win and each of the partnerships have things going against them which wouldn't make them a complete packaged winner (see next).
2) Kimberley is by far the most personable who has embraced the show and has improved but I don't really want to see a newbie pro win again. On the flip side, Dani hasn't got the edge and Louis does nothing for me but it would be nice to see a long standing pro win.
3) I'm so glad the show dances are no longer the final deciding dance because they always look a complete chaotic mash/mess up of lifts. I would rather the celebs having to complete a new dance not danced or to dance their poorest scoring dance again.
4) From above, it is a travesty and injustice that Kimberley never got to dance the Rumba. It is one of my favourite dances and hers and Pashas would have been hot hot hot. Producers missed a trick there.
5) To end on a more optimistic note, despite what I have said, I have by far enjoyed this series more than last years whereby the new producers have improved the production and much more likeable celebs.

1. Worst final ever.

3. Four very underwhelming showdances.

4. Louis will win by a mile imo although not with much justification.

5. I have still not given a single 10 all series.

1) They really should ditch the showdances, there hasn't been a great one since Tom Chambers.
2) Denise shouldn't have had 40 for either of her dances, Louis' 40 was just about acceptable (though personally I wouldn't have given it 10 as there wasn't enough dancing in it) and Kimberley should have had 40 for her Viennese Waltz - best dance of the night so far!
3) Louis is much better than he's ever been before but I still don't enjoy watching him that much, there's still something missing. I think he'll win, I'll be happy for Flavia if they win, but he's not my winner.
4) I fear Dani has blown it - underwhelming Tango and awful showdance.
5) Kimberley to win

1. Agree with you Clone Clown about a Kimberley-Pasha rumba, that would've been special I'm sure. I still say there's something between them! (So want them to have a victory snog if they win)
2. I wish we had another two weeks of the competition so we could see Dani and Vincent do a rumba and a paso, the segments they did in their showdance looked fab, I would so like to see them do those dances in their entirety.
3. Lois's slow-mo lift of Flavia in the showdance was absolutely wonderful, a real wow moment.
4. I'm enjoying tonight but for me last week's semi final was the best week of the competition, with Denise's tango, Kimberley's American Smooth and Dani's Argentine Tango being outstandingly good.
5. Don't know who deserves to win but Denise is definitely, definitely the best dancer!!

Thank you for a most enjoyable thread!

1. Kind of underwhelming first part of the final.
2. No showdances were particularly good. I enjoyed Dani's more than the rest, though it was a little messy.
3. Please ditch them next year, in favour of a new dance - I'd of much rather seen a Dani Paso and Kimberley Rumba etc. than a showdance.
4. Don't like the way they've screwed Dani over by pointing out her mistakes and ignoring everyone elses.
5. I enjoyed Kimberley's VW a lot more this time than before.

1) None of the showdances wowed me in any way
2) Why is Tess dressed in kitchen foil?
3) Most impressive lift (though lifts themselves don't really impress me much) was Louis' - it was rather good.
4) Showdance outfits - what were they thinking of? They were all mainly urghhhh.
5) Take away the 10 paddles please - overused, undervalued.

1. Tess's dress has surely got to be No1. It has to be the worst all series!
2. the singers murdered Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody!
3. There has been far too much waffle tonight. let's face it, we tuned in to see dancing!
4. Didn't like Denise's show dance. to much lift and not enough dance.
5. Louis' show dance was a show stopper. I detest the rumba, but that was so emotional. dance of the season for me!

1. Denise very slick but no soul.
2. Feel sorry for Dani I quite enjoyed their showdance routine but she wasn't smooth getting into or out of the lifts.
3. Enjoyed K+P's showdance more than D+J as she's more enjoyable to watch, she dances with more heart.
4. Loved both of F+L's routines tonight, showdance was wonderful.
5. Found this series underwhelming overall

1. Oh dear oh dear Pasha needs to go to showdance boot camp thats two stinkers in a row.
2. I think Dani will be first out rather than Denise and I think Denise and James will regard that as a small victory.
3. My dream of someone other than Louis winning the glitterball is sliding away rapidly.
4. Brendan looks ill
5. Victoria looks amazing.

1. Didn't like either of Dani's dances. Showdance lifts were pretty bad.
2. Louis fantastic.
3. Denise equally fantastic - both got the Charleston next - so a toss up really between them.

Part 2 of my extra thoughts

6) I was a big fan of Dani & Vincent throughout the series but agree that tonight she didn't shine when up against the others so it was fair 4th place result.
7) I really enjoyed seeing the Charleston and Tango again from Denise and Kimberley respectively - particularly loved Kimberley's quick head movements.
8) I think a four couple final worked but like others it was silly that they didn't announce third place separately. I do hope we find out who came second.
9) I am pleased that a long standing pro has reclaimed the win from a newbie pro and that it was Flavia - she's pleasant, humble and sincere.
10) SCD is the best show on TV which continues to give me masses of enjoyment despite any grumbles we share on here - long may it continue great success.

One final bit is that I will do a 5 Thoughts thread in a couple of days for a general overview of the series once we've all had time to reflect on it all and also another for the Xmas Special.

- Dani & Vincent deserved a final three placing. Had it not been for the rule change before the semi final, they'd have succeeded.

- Nobody "wowed" me tonight.

- They didn't announce who came second/third! Ridiculous.

- Predictable winner.

- Disappointing end to a really good series.

2nd part 5 thoughts.

1. Why eliminate Dani and then have 2 runners up they should have let her dance through the second part aswell.
2. A new dress for Tess but no new dresses for the 'stars of our show' except the showdance it made it seem a bit second hand.
3. Inevitable winner really despite what they were all saying.
4. Bruce was insufferable telling the other pros and celebs to 'get back'
5. Too much filler

1. Blackpool would have been a better venue. In the studio too hyped up
2.All finalists raised their performance levels especially in repeated dances
3. would love to go back to the "old" format, best ballroom, best latin to be danced by finalists, and showdance in the 2nd show
4. Bruce struggled to keep it together tonight. Time for him to be off

could we not have seen eliminated couples reprise 30 seconds of a favourite routine? rather than the GBP waffling on

I thought that the four finalists were the best of all the contestants.

The final three were all very good.

I am very pleased for Louis and for Flavia. It is not easy for a man to be in the final competing against ladies that are being led in their dances. He has learned to dance from being a non-dancer, he has learned to lead his partner, and he has learned to really enjoy himself. Well done to both of them.

I enjoyed seeing all the dancers together again.

Bruce was embarrassing at the end; please replace him for the next series.

1)very underwhelming reaction from louis when he won, but only happy they won for flavia. Kim and Denise would have defo been more excited about winning.
2)Kim deserved to win, she really dances with heart and puts so much emotion in her dances, so proud of her.
3)Denise was a deserved third, but in my mind she came second to kim, Denise pulled it out of the bag today.
4) Feel so sorry for Dani and vincent, they just didn't have it in them tonight.
5) And to add to louis's underwhelming win, brucie telling everyone to stand back, it's really exciting and a lovley moment when all the contextants and pros hug each other.

1. I was sorry to see Dani go but on the night she was the weakest.
2. Denise hasn't got the right figure for a catsuit.
3. Kimberley maintained her improvement.
4. None of the showdances had the wow factor.
5. Louis as the only contender with no previous stage experience was possibly the most deserving winner.

Coming late to the thread so I'll be naughty and take the 10 altogether:

1 very disappointed by the result - the weakest of the three dancers won

2 hated Louis and Flavia's showdance - in my opinion, purely designed to showcase his body - WTG Flavia, going for the so called ovary vote

3 poor Dani was just too nervous

4 thought Kimberley messed up at one point on the showdance

5 and Pasha maybe didn't do them any favours with that

6 Denise was sublime in all 3 dances, I think if the judges had had to vote on tonight's performance she would have won

7 oh dear BBC, you really didn't mask the fact that Robbie was pre-recorded very well , did you?

8 it's sort of reassuring to know the singers can make as much of a horlicks of Bohemian Rhapsody as they did of Somebody That I Used To Know

9 felt SBF was poor tonight, struggled when not his turn, seemed to be mesmerised trying to read Tess's autocue so he didn't lose his place, and his rude treatment of the 3 couples at the end was incredible .. please retire gracefully in the Xmas show

10 it's been fun being around these last few weeks, thanks everyone, and hopefully see you all next autumn x

1.) Louis and Falvia were well deserved winners.
2.) Dani fell apart when it mattered.
3.) I'm overjoyed Denise got to the Final 3.
4.) Bruce was an embarrassment at the end.
5.) Get rid of Darcey, bring back Alesha.

2nd part:

1. Predictable result and not what I wanted, but it's not the first time the winner hasn't been the best dancer or even the 2nd best dancer
2. BUT Flavia undoubtedly deserves a glitterball, so I can't be too annoyed.
3. Kimberley's Tango was the standout dance of the 2nd half, the two Charlestons were fine but not spectacular. only Kimberley improved.
4. The returning celebs dance was messy and a bit weird. I was distracted singing the song though
5. Complete farce that they didn't announce who was 2nd - we know all the other placings in the show, and they might as well have let Dani & Vincent dance as well if they weren't going to split 2nd and 3rd!

Sneaky 6) Bruce was unbelievably rude at the end. If I were in charge, I'd sack him for that embarassment alone, never mind that it was the cherry on top of a very bad series for him!

According to twitter he genuinely is, bless him!

1. For the first time ever, I had genuinely no idea who I wanted to win
2. Louis' showdance was awesome. Thought it suited him, and the choreography was fab :')
3. Literally LOVE Darcey, she just makes me laugh :L
4. I feel kind of sad its all over now
5. It was soooo nice seeing all the old contestants back, and Victoria (yes Victoria!) & Lisa at the back of their dance were putting Jerry Hall to shame haha, she couldn't really clap in time with the music... :')

1. Well done to Flavia and Louis - They were phenomenal tonight and didn't put a foot wrong! VERY VERY happy for them

2. Didn't see the point in the way they didn't announce a 2nd and 3rd place.

3 I really enjoyed the whole final and thought all 4 couples danced brilliantly but Louis and Flave were deserving winners.

4. Good Pro dance at the beginning too and definitely beats the Gladiator opener from last year, and also the 'Eye of the Tiger' theme from the year before

2. A Louis win was inevitable, especially once the 'chesticles' came out. Delighted for Flavia, not so much for Louis
3. They all should have had new costumes for the dances they repeated
4. Bless Pasha, he is not so good at showdances, but great at supporting his celeb
5. Can you imagine what a Lisa/Robin showdance would have been like.....
