I thought her show dance was disappointing. I was really lookindonna.cummings@ntlworld.comg forward to it. It cost her the win.

i think her showdance was an odd combination of a bit frenetic and not very interesting. i think pasha's choreography didn't really work there, i expect he was trying to let her 'be herself' but actually, we wanted to see her new and improved skills

I can't remember which FM said it recently about "shame Pasha can't put together a decent showdance"...I didn't think I'd be agreeing. Pasha really pulled it off with some of the dances for Kimberley but that last night was just a big mistake. Instead of focussing on her dancing skills, he went for the wild effect and it didn't work. She just ended up looking desperate.

I really don't think it would of made a difference. Louis nailed it.

It was unfortunate that in addition she had to do one of her worst dances, the VW, as the judges pick. The VW dress was odd in that it did not move fluidly which did not help on either occasion.

It's a shame Kimberley had the AS in the semi-finals - something akin to that would have been perfect for a showdance.
The final SD was like watching a pop video routine - a girl band member dancing to another girl band member's song - only grateful it wasn't one of Cheryls. |

Sorry - she can't quite claim that title from Lisa Snowdon, who really was appallingly overmarked ...
However, I do think Kimberley was overhyped and overpraised when her mistakes were clear. That showdance was a major mistake, especially after Vincent had done such a clever Beyonce homage earlier in the series and 'Crazy In Love' is so closely identified with Alesha's success. I can't help wondering what would have happened had Kimberley been paired with someone else ... there was so little chemistry between her and Pasha. |

Yes, unfortunately her show dance was too scrapy and a little bit 'wild'......
Those of you that mentioned that Louis was going to win regardless, well actually in the last week, numerous people's polls were tipping Kim to win and she was trending in twitter way ahead of Louis. I had a group of friends over for Christmas dinner during the finals and we were AMAZED by Denise and Louis show dance. Denise has been in the bottom two, two weeks running, therefore her show dance obviously made a massive impact. Equally, Louis show dance was so different to the others, it stood out. It was just perfection and as they mentioned we have never seen anything like that before, especially that amazing lift at the end- that's what won it for Louis! I have never thought kim was that good compared to the others, but her tango this time round was one of my favourite dances....and I have been critical about her on numerous occasions, namely because the exessive lifts during the last few occasions and not enough dancing (leave the lifts for the show dance, in my opinion). Louis deserves the win! He raised the bar with an amazing salsa, incredible charleston and an eppic show dance! |

I thought they had far more chemistry than Louis & Flavia had, and certainly more than Pasha ever had with Chelsee!
I'm sorry I disagree, Pasha and chelsee chemistry is a major factor that lead them to the final. You should watch their training on 'It Takes Two', they were hillarous together. Unfortunately, when it comes to partnership and not dancing I found Kim a little boring (sorry-sounds harsh) and Pashas fun bubbly attitude during last year with chelsee was missing. I found there partnership like a contract, 'you teach me' and 'I learn'... Nothing more. Maybe it's becuae she has a boyfriend of 9 years and she and pasha didn't want to cause problems with them..... |

I have just watched the Showdances, and while I confess to being a Kimberley and Pasha supporter, after Chelsees last year which I didn't enjoy at all, I wasn't expecting too much. After reading alot of the negativity on here I expected the worst. Have to say though I enjoyed it, one of the lifts could have gone either way I think but it was fun and fast and there was lots of dancing! It also contrasted well with her other two dances. So no I dont think it cost her the competition, my favourite Showdance was Denise's and then Kimberleys, just personal taste.
It was obvious Louis was going to win this from very early on in the competition in my opinion. |

When Kimbers went through the flaming hoop I hoped she was going to lick Pasha and he was going to throw her a Bonio.

I thought one of the early lifts was flaming hysterical - Pasha staggered around like a drunken bridegroom trying to get the wife over the threshold. ![]() And that thrashy thing behind the big tambourine, and the flames and all - hilarious. I don't think it made any difference though. Louis was always going to win. And I enjoyed Kim's dance, not altogether for the right reasons. |

I thought Kimber's show dance was great fun, but it was almost humorously dodgy on occasion.

I actually really enjoyed it - it had high dance content and I loved the silhouette and burning hoop thing. It was only second to Denise & James' imo.

I did think her showdance along with Danis were the weakest, it was practically what she does for a day job!! stick a wheen of hair extensions in my head and i could hair twirl with the best of them. The final result IMO was fair enough, i would have had Denise to win but in fairness both her and Kimberley had a bit of a head start on Louis, he was NEVER a favourite of mine as he had always the moves but NEVER the passion, only in the last couple of weeks has he IMO added the performance!! so dont think i would have minded who had won the final three were ALL great.

I'm disappointed that Pasha has made the same mistake with his Showdance two years in a row, especially given that he's generally such a strong choreographer.
I think she coped better with the frantic pace of the choreography than Chelsee but it was still very messy, especially given that even Pasha didn't seem very confident with the lifts and seemed at a bit of a loss in the awkward moments between Kimberley disappearing behind the screen to take off her catsuit and her dancing silhouette appearing. I did prefer it over Dani and Vincent's Showdance because at least it suited Kimberley's personality and played on some of her strengths as a performer and a dancer but I'd have preferred it if there had been a greater focus on showcasing her Latin skills rather than all that thrashing about and throwing her in the air. I guess Louis and Flavia showed us that a more considered Showdance is better than throwing everything at the wall and hoping that something sticks. |

LOVED the awkward bit when Pasha just had to writhe about for what seemed like an aeon during the costume change.
Sort of Legs & Co/Pan's People. Pure pop. Not good. Oh, Pasha. *face pull* |

Kim's showdance wasn't as good as her Dance fusion & her AS, which is a shame - I was expecting something in that league. Her tango & waltz were ace though.

Yes, but every poll pretty much every other week had Louis leading, and I doubt half the people who vote would be the type of people to fill in multiple online polls.
Louis basically had two showdances tonight - the DD salsa was a salsa-based showdance, so if anything helped tonight, it's that. I still maintain he had it won before he stepped onto the floor though, because the Olympics are fresh in people's minds. Any other year, I wouldn't have been so sure. |

Flavia's adaptation to the salsa improved it enormously. It was a waste of 90 seconds the first time round so I'm glad they were made to improve it.
