No, I really wanted Denise to win and thought both her and Kimberley were technically better and more entertaining to watch. I really wouldn't have minded if Kimberley won as her tango was amazing!

How many voted for Lisa or Fern because of Robin and Artem whipping their kit off?
How many blokes enjoyed the sight of all those thighs? DIdn't a number of the female celebs have their skirts ripped off them by their partners during the dance - what was the purpose of that, if not to make the blokes go "phwoar"?

Various people have suggested that Louis won because the women were voting for him. Well, that may be so, but I am a straight bloke and I voted for him!
Others have complained that it is mainly men that have won - well again that may be so. But someone quoted (I am not sure if this is 100% true) that men have won 6 of the 10. Try flipping a coin 10 times and then repeat the exercise frequently (if you need to get a life that is). The result will be 6 heads to 4 tails quite often. So 6 wins for men is hardly that out of the ordinary.
Basically the wife and I voted like this: in the first show the wife thought, like the judges, that Dani's performance was not up to the standard of the other three - so she voted once for all the other three. I thought the same thing largely, except that I thought Kimberley's show dance was pretty weak - whereas Denise delivered a good, standard one and Louis did something fairly special - so I voted for just Louis and Denise.
When it came to the final show, it was between Denise and Louis for me - and, frankly I did not agree with the judges that Denise's Charleston was the best we'd ever seen. The wife also voted for Louis - though she didn't say why.
For the series overall, Denise got the most marks from the judges - which I agree with and, if it was voting on that basis I'd have voted for her. Kimberley might have got my vote if was on the basis of the sexiest - but not all blokes vote with their whatsits!

Didn't say it was, all I did was point out that not everyone votes on the dancing, so the mere fact that he's won doesn't prove Louis to be the best dancer! Does'nt prove he isn't either, of course, it's all subjective.

Good comments. I wanted Kimberly to win until tonight. Louis deserved his win
They were all good but Louis brought that something extra to the show tonight. Being a superb athlete gave him the edge, wheras often during the contest it has worked against him. A worthy winner, and Flavia has worked wonders with him. There was a time that I didn't think he stood a chance of making it to the final but hard work and dedication have paid off.

I dont understand how anyone who didnt win can be the real winner ? Makes no sense to me .You can have an opinion who you thought was a better dancer , of course you can , but that doesnt make them the winner ?
The top 3 were all great, but to me Denise was outstanding tonight. She also had the highest score with the judges. She was obviously less popular with the public as she was once in a musical that had some dancing in it. Also men win this show and most other popularity contests more often, especially if they show their sexy torso.

Denise was the best dancer. She stood no chance but I would have loved to have seen all their faces if she had won. Denise and James did not expect to win and it would have been great to see their reaction if they had.

That was down to Pasha. Kimberley proved she could do sexy the week she danced to Naughty Girl.
And the top off, was tactical, Flavia admitted it was. Like someone said in a previous post, Louis could have done the Birdy Song and he still would have won. He had the female and the gay vote - the girls didn't stand a chance.

The winner in my eyes, the person I thought was truly the winner of this series in terms of improvement, dance quality and performance. That can be a completely different person to the person who topped the public vote, and for me this year it is.
Well, I wanted Dani to win but that doesn't mean I don't think the right couple won. Louis deserved to win because he got the most votes so yes, the right couple won, even if they weren't my favourites.

I dont want to argue with you, I have ignored a lot of your posts but really, and the men didnt vote for the girls with their genitals.
Stupid argument IMO. So Louis just stood there all these weeks and didnt do anything? So he did not put any work into strictly? But its ok for the girls to have had stage school/Dancing experience. IMO Kimberley didnt do anything different to her dances in GA concerts.

No, they didn't.
Well, actually yes, I'm sure some of them did, of course. But it would have been a fraction of the amount of women (and men) voting for Louis for the same reasons.
I'm not suggesting not that (straight) men are less shallow, that'd be ridiculous! But they do represent a much smaller percentage of the people that actually pick up phone and vote.
