Should The BBC Bring Back 'Come Dancing' Now ?

As SCD is right back at the top of the ratings would this be a good time to revive 'Come Dancing'.

Even maybe promote it to Saturday evening as a gap filler for SCD with Terry Wogan back as the M/C.

I would rather that they televise some of the major international competitions such as the British championships from Blackpool

Terry Wogan, in his green velvet jacket, who just used to describe the dresses on Come Dancing?

Give us a break!

Come Dancing won't return, it would unavoidably look "middle class" again and the BBC wouldn't have that.

That would be brilliant. But definitely no Wogan.

But it hasn't got celebrities in it!

And you should know the golden rule now; you simply can't make any programme without celebrities in it.

And if you do have a successful programme without celebrities in it, scrap it and only do a celebrity version of it.

Yeah.

I must be one of the few who watch Strictly in spite of the celebs, not because of it. I love dancing, and do watch it because of that. I would watch Strictly if non celebs were in it. Oh, and if I'm honest, I like the dresses also

But, the BBC have had 2 non celeb dance programs in recent years, Strictly Dance Fever and So You Think You Can Dance, both of which were axed in their second year. I don't think they will be doing another prime time based dance show. Shame really, that the public didn't take to them, as the standard of dancing was SOOOO much better.

I'd like to see the professionals of SCD up against each other.

There's Only One Home Counties North; One Home Counties Noooorth .....

It would be good to see Karen and Ramps do a Michael Palin style Tour of the Dance - Samba in Brazil; Salsa in Cuba; Merengue in Venezuela; Tango in Argentina ....

It should not cost too much. And in terms of health benefits it should get lottery funding.

But then it might show up the celebs on SCD.

It should never have been taken off... I wouldn't mind so much but they'll happily broadcast the bbc3 Shiite

I've tried watching some of the ballroom event's they show on Eurosport and have been pretty underwhelmed, doubt they would get much of an audience broadcasting professional comps.

If they did bring Come Dancing back they would need to update the format and presentation a bit to give it some mainstream appeal.

How about a proper top celebs from SCD versus their counterparts from DWTS?

I think 'Come Dancing' could work if it was updated properly. The 'Military Two Step' might have to be dropped.

Is the 'Peggy Spencer' formation team still going?
